  3. Schluter won a July 1989 special election to complete the unexpired term of Assemblyman Dick Zimmer, who was elected to the State Senate.
  4. Kamin won an August 1986 special election to complete the unexpired term of Assemblyman Karl Weidel, who resigned to join the Department of Insurance.
  5. DeCroce was appointed to complete the unexpired term of Assemblyman Ralph A. Loveys, who resigned to head the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
