The 2025 Albuquerque mayoral election will be held on November 4, 2025, to elect the mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Incumbent mayor Tim Keller is running for re-election to a third term in office. [1]
Tim Keller won his first election in 2017, with 62.2% of the vote, against Republican Dan Lewis. He won re-election in 2021 with 56%. Keller announced his re-election campaign in August 2024.
After the petition deadline on June 20, seven candidates met the 3,000 signature threshold, with Keller, Eddie Varela, and Alex Uballez leading in signatures gathered. [2]
If no candidate reaches 50% of the vote, a runoff election between the top two candidates will take place within 45 days of the November 4, 2025 election.
