The 2025 Albuquerque mayoral election will be held on November 4, 2025, to elect the mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Incumbent mayor Tim Keller is running for re-election to a third term in office. [1]
Tim Keller won his first election in 2017, with 62.2% of the vote. He won re-election in 2021 with 56%. Keller announced his re-election campaign in August 2024. While the election is nonpartisan, candidates often declare their party affiliations.
After the petition deadline on June 20, seven candidates met the 3,000 signature threshold, with Keller, Eddie Varela, and Alex Uballez leading in signatures gathered. [2]
If no candidate reaches 50% of the vote, a runoff election between the top two candidates will take place on December 9, 2025.
