1. One must exercise caution using the Blue Book as a source for Wisconsin election data for the period of 1890-1920 as it was unreliable during this period.
2. The 1901 Blue Book mistakenly gives this total as 507
3. The 1901 Blue Book mistakenly gives this total as 88. The Scattering votes listed by the Blue Book in Jefferson and Pierce counties were actually votes for Wilke and the 85 votes listed in Kenosha County, which were probably "Blank", are not listed on the original canvass.
