The Antigo Opera House is a historic opera house and concert hall in Antigo, Wisconsin, United States. The brick building was built in 1904 by architect J.H. Jeffers in the Classical Revival style. [2] The opera house could seat 1100 people. In addition to its use for entertainment, the building served as an armory during World War I and is now an apartment building. [3] The opera house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 12, 1984. [1]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Florence County Courthouse and Jail</span> United States historic place

The Florence County Courthouse and Jail, built in 1889, is an historic complex of governmental buildings located at 501 Lake Street in Florence, Wisconsin. Designed by architect James E. Clancy of Antigo in the Romanesque style, it was built of brick with local sandstone and blue limestone trim and terra cotta roofs. The courthouse cost $13,000 while the 3-cell jail building cost $4,000.

Frost & Granger was an American architectural partnership from 1898 to 1910 of brothers-in-law Charles Sumner Frost (1856–1931) and Alfred Hoyt Granger (1867–1939). Frost and Granger were known for their designs of train stations and terminals, including the now-demolished Chicago and North Western Terminal, in Chicago. The firm designed several residences in Hyde Park, Illinois, and many other buildings. Several of their buildings are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Langlade County Courthouse is Langlade County, Wisconsin's historic courthouse, located in Antigo, the county seat. The courthouse was built in 1905 by the architectural firm Kinney & Detweiler, replacing the first courthouse, which was built in 1882. The building was built in the Classical Revival style and includes murals by Swedish artist Axel E. Soderberg. In 2000, a glass addition was put on the building. The courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 1977.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Antigo Post Office</span> United States historic place

The Antigo Post Office is the post office serving the city of Antigo, Wisconsin. The post office was built in 1916 in the Classical Revival style using brick, with limestone and granite features; at the time, it cost $60,000 to build. Antigo has had a post office since 1879; however, this post office was the first owned by the federal government. The post office was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 2000; it is one of 27 post offices on the National Register in Wisconsin.

The Antigo Public Library and Deleglise Cabin comprise a historic site in Antigo, Wisconsin. The library building is a Carnegie library built in 1904. In 1997, the Antigo Public Library left the building; it is now a museum and the headquarters of the Langlade County Historical Society. The Deleglise Cabin, the first home in Antigo, was constructed by George Eckart in 1878 on the Springbrook and inhabited by Francis A. Deleglise. The cabin was moved near the library in 1916. Both buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 18, 1978.
