Western Australia is a state occupying the western 33 percent of the land area of Australia excluding external territories. Volkanovski is also a former Australian Fighting Championship (AFC) Featherweight champion. Prior to his UFC debut, Volkanovski competed as a professional boxer in 2015. As of 14 February 2022 he is #3 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
