The Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo is a two-seater concept car developed by Audi Sport GmbH and was manufactured in Germany. In April 2018, the car was unveiled at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport at Neuburg an der Donau, Bavaria, Germany, [1] four days after two teaser trailers were released on YouTube. [2] [3] [4] The car was fully constructed in a span of 11 months. [5]
The car was deemed the first official fully functioning concept car that can drive on the roads. [5] This is also the first fully functioning concept car which matches the virtual and "on-paper" specifications with the real specifications.
The Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo has three electric motors, two at the rear axle, one at the front axle. Each motor delivers 268 hp (200 kW; 272 PS) and 246 lb⋅ft (334 N⋅m), for a total of 804 hp (600 kW; 815 PS) and 738 lb⋅ft (1,001 N⋅m). The curb weight of the vehicle stands at 1,450 kg (3,197 lb) with a 50:50 weight distribution, and also giving the car a power-to-weight ratio of 554 hp per ton. The car runs on a permanent all-wheel drive drivetrain. [6] [7] [8] The car does contain some elements used for future "e-tron" production cars, according to Audi. [9] The e-tron Vision Gran Turismo also uses Audi's DTM ceramic brakes and steering wheel, 305-width racing tyres, and other parts from the Audi R8 LMS, their Group GT3 race car. [10]
According to Audi and Polyphony Digital, the car also performs a 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) run of 2.5 seconds. [11] [8]
Marc Lichte led the entire design process, with Andreas Krüger completing the exterior. [10] The vehicle's design and livery is heavily inspired by the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. [12] [8]
The Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo is available for virtual driving in the Polyphony Digital racing games, Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7 . Two versions exist in the game, with one of them (which does not exist in the real world) scrapping the "e-tron" moniker and opting for a 3.4-liter turbocharged V6 engine with hybrid assistance from a single electric motor. The Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo featured in the game has a significantly more conceptualized and fictitious interior compared to its real world counterpart's more conventional race car design. [14]
The e-tron Vision Gran Turismo is used as a race taxi for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in the 2017–18 season. [11] [8] In the e-tron, customers of Audi are able to experience Formula E's city circuits as passengers with either racing drivers Rahel Frey or Rinaldo "Dindo" Capello driving the concept car. [6] Its first was in Rome, Italy at the Circuto Cittadino dell'EUR, the street circuit for the Rome ePrix. [12]

It has been active in DTM for more than a decade. After the death of their father Johann in 2003, the company with 170 employees in their headquarters in Kempten was run by the brothers Hans-Jürgen Abt and Christian Abt. The Vision Gran Turismo program is a series of concept cars for the Gran Turismo video game series, developed by a cross-section of the world's top automobile manufacturers. The DodgeSRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo is a fictional concept car created by Street & Racing Technology, a sub-division of Stellantis North America. It was developed as part of the Vision Gran Turismo project, where real-life automakers partner with video game developer Polyphony Digital to create car models for their Gran Turismo driving simulation series. The vehicle was released as downloadable content for Gran Turismo 6 in 2015. While the car's advanced design makes it impossible to functionally create with 2015 technology, the company has discussed creating it a few decades in the future, when technology has caught up with the car's design.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is a single-seater concept car developed by Bugatti and was manufactured in Molsheim, Alsace, France. The car was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, a month after its teaser trailer was released, which was titled #imaginEBugatti. It was built under the Vision Gran Turismo project, and with its looks, influenced the Bugatti Chiron's design language. The color scheme of the car is based on the 1937 Le Mans-winning Bugatti Type 57G Tank racer.
The Fittipaldi EF7 was a Brazilian mid-engined sports car from Fittipaldi Motors LLC, designed in collaboration with Pininfarina and HWA. Originally released as a Vision Gran Turismo concept car for the Gran Turismo Sport racing video game, former Formula One and IndyCar champion and company founder Emerson Fittipaldi announced that a production track-only version would be manufactured and released by spring 2018 as the EF7 GTR, however, the plan did not materialize when the company became inactive in March 2019.
The Audi Q8 e-tron is a battery electric mid-size luxury crossover produced by Audi since 2019. The e-tron was unveiled as a concept car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The final production version was revealed in San Francisco on 17 September 2018, publicly debuted at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, and was first delivered in May 2019. It is the company's first battery electric mass production car. The Sportback variant, a coupe style of the e-tron, entered production in 2020.
The Audi R8 is the first generation of the R8 sports car developed and manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Audi. Conceived in 2003 in concept form, the R8 was put into production in June 2006. The Type 42 is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo and shares its chassis and engine. Audi's parent company Volkswagen Group owns Lamborghini as well and components of both of the cars were shared mainly to save development costs. Production of the Type 42 ended in August 2015, following the introduction of the Type 4S at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show which was based on an entirely new platform.

The championship contains two series that are held concurrently throughout the year: the Nations Cup and the Manufacturers Cup. The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo is a concept car produced by Mercedes-Benz and the Mercedes-AMG division. It was developed as a concept car in a video game but later built as a real-life model. Officially, Daimler AG did not announce the launch of the concept car in a series, but later the American company J&S Worldwide Holdings announced the production of 5 such cars. The world premiere of the concept model took place at the 2013 LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, California. Many design decisions subsequently formed the basis of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Mercedes-AMG GT.
