The Bank of Alamo, at 103 S. Bells St. in Alamo, Tennessee, is a two-story brick building with limestone trim. [2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. [1]

The bank was founded in 1902 and built this building in 1912 in Classical Revival style. Elements of its neo-classical style include "shouldered architrave limestone window surrounds, the limestone door surround with scroll brackets and cornice, and the limestone cornice on the exterior and by the pressed tin ceiling, mosaic tile floor, and window trim on the interior." [2]

Fisher Building-Latham Block United States historic place

The Fisher Building-Latham Block is a historic commercial structure located at 111, 113, and 115 North Sixth Street in Springfield, Illinois. While built as two separate buildings, the Fisher Building and Latham Block are connected by internal entrances and are now considered components of a single building. Construction on both buildings began in 1856. The larger Latham Block has a typical mid-19th Century commercial design with classical influences, which can be seen in its symmetrical windows with cast iron hoods. While the Fisher Building originally had a similar design, it was renovated in the Classical Revival style in 1900. Its design includes a two-story bay window, a decorative cornice, and limestone trim.

Pennington County Courthouse United States historic place

The Pennington County Courthouse, located at 301 St. Joseph Street in Rapid City, is the county courthouse serving Pennington County, South Dakota. The courthouse has functioned as the seat of Pennington County government since it was built in 1922. Architecture firm W.E. Halse and Company designed the building in the Beaux-Arts style. The three-story building is built from Indiana limestone and has terra cotta trim. The two-story front entrance is divided into sections by four pairs of Ionic columns; three large arched windows decorated with muntin and topped by keystones decorate the three main sections. The entrance, located at what would be the bottom of the middle window, features iron grilles on its windows and transom and is topped by a cartouche. A frieze with ornamental medallions and a dentillated cornice surround the building above its second story.

Redstone (Dubuque, Iowa) United States historic place

Redstone is a historic building located in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. This is one of three large homes that Augustine A. Cooper, who owned Cooper Wagon and Buggy Works, built for himself and his two daughters. When it was completed in 1888 it was a duplex with 27 rooms, with the family side more ornate than the tenant side. The 2½-story brick structure with red sandstone trim was designed by Thomas Carkeek in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The elements of that style are found in the round arch window openings, the use of rough limestone for the lintels, and its heavy mass. The terracotta friezework on the cornices over the bay window, the tower, the corner gables, and the Corinthian-style capitals on the porch columns reflect Neoclassical influences. The house was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and it was included as a contributing property in the Cathedral Historic District in 1985. The building has been converted into a bed and breakfast inn.
