The Brisbane Track Classic is an annual outdoor track and field meeting usually held in March or April at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre in the suburb of Mount Gravatt in Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the national Australian Athletics Tour, alongside the Melbourne Track Classic and the Sydney Track Classic.

The discus throw, also known as disc throw, is a track and field sport in which the participant athlete throws an oblate spheroid weight — called a discus — in an attempt to mark a farther distance than other competitors. It is an ancient sport, as demonstrated by the fifth-century-BC Myron statue Discobolus. Although not part of the current pentathlon, it was one of the events of the ancient Greek pentathlon, which can be dated back to at least 708 BC, and it is part of the modern decathlon.

The 3000 metres steeplechase or 3000-meter steeplechase is the most common distance for the steeplechase in track and field. It is an obstacle race over the distance of the 3000 metres, which derives its name from the horse racing steeplechase.

The 10-second barrier is the physical and psychological barrier of completing the 100 metres sprint in under ten seconds. The achievement is traditionally regarded as the hallmark of a world-class male sprinter. Its significance has become less important since the late 1990s, as an increasing number of runners have surpassed the ten seconds mark. The current men's world record holder is Usain Bolt, who ran a 9.58 at the 2009 IAAF World Championship competition.

The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, formerly known as the Boston Indoor Games, is an annual indoor track and field meet which is held in late January or early February at the Track at New Balance. Prior to 2023, it was hosted at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. It was first held in Roxbury, a neighborhood in Boston, in 1996 and has become one of the foremost events of its type in the United States, alongside the Millrose Games.

The Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, also known as the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, is an annual track and field meeting held at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, Poland in summer, organized by the Kamila Skolimowska Foundation. In 2020 the meeting was part of the inaugural World Athletics Continental Tour. Since 2022, the event has been part of the Diamond League series.

Bree Masters is an Australian sprinter. Formerly a beach sprint Australian and a World Champion, Masters crossed from sand to track in 2019. In just under 3 years, she qualified for the 100m at the 2022 Oregon World Athletics Championships being just the third Australian female in more than two decades to compete in the blue-ribbon event at the World Championships. In the same year, she was selected for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games in the 100m and 4x100m.

Mia Gross is an Australian track and field athlete who competes in sprint events. She was junior Australian champion in the 100m and 200m in both 2018 and 2019. As a senior, Gross was part of the Australian sprint relay team that finished third at the Commonwealth Games in 2022. She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The TEN is a track and field meeting held at the JSerra Catholic High School track in San Juan Capistrano, California, United States. Since 2023 it is a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver level meeting – the third-highest level of international athletics meetings behind the Diamond League and Gold tier.
