The Calloway County Courthouse is a courthouse in Murray, Kentucky built in 1913. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. [1]

It was the result of blatant election tampering, in which votes on bond authorization were falsified.[ citation needed ] Voters had actually turned down the funding for a replacement to the previous courthouse which had burned in 1906. Proponents of the new courthouse cheated to get what they wanted. [2]

It is a three-story brick building designed in Classical Revival style [2]

The Confederate Monument in Murray is a statue located in the northeast corner of the Calloway County Courthouse in Murray, Kentucky. It honors the 800 citizens of the county who served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, and is one of several Confederate monuments in Kentucky featuring Robert E. Lee. There is another one in Bardstown KY. Despite recent controversy, the Calloway County Fiscal Court voted to keep the statue on its grounds in July 2020.

The Warren County Courthouse is located in Indianola, Iowa, United States. The courthouse that was built in 1939 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 2003 as a part of the PWA-Era County Courthouses of IA Multiple Properties Submission. It was the third building the county has used for court functions and county administration. The building was demolished in the summer of 2019 and removed from the NRHP in September of the same year. The San Bernardino County Court House, is a Classical Revival building located at 351 N. Arrowhead Ave. in San Bernardino, is the county courthouse for San Bernardino County, California. The courthouse was built in 1927 and has served as the center of county government since then. A 1937 welfare building, a 1940 county library, and a 1940 heating plant are also located on the courthouse grounds, which are extensively landscaped and include a fountain, sundial, plaque, and the remains of the former county courthouse.

The Stone Jail Building and Row House are two adjacent stone buildings located on Water Street in Tonopah, Nevada. The jail was built in 1903 and the adjacent row house in 1908. Both building were at one time used as a brothel. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Carroll County Courthouse, located in Courthouse Square in Mount Carroll, is the county courthouse of Carroll County, Illinois. The courthouse, which was designed by Chicago architects Olmstead and Nicholson, was built in 1858 and has been used continuously since. During the Civil War, the courthouse also served as a barracks for the county's troops prior to their commissioning. The Lorado Taft Monument, a memorial to the county's Civil War veterans, was added to the site in 1891. According to Ripley's Believe It or Not, the monument is the only Civil War memorial with an annex, which was added to fit names which had been left off the original memorial.

The Old Grafton County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building at 1 Court Street in Plymouth, New Hampshire. This modest wood-frame building was built in 1774 to serve as one of two courthouses for Grafton County, which had just been established; it is one of the oldest surviving civic structures in the state. It is now the museum of the Plymouth Historical Society. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and included in the Plymouth Historic District in 1986.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Williams County Courthouse</span> United States historic place

Williams County Courthouse, at the intersection of Main and High Streets in Bryan, is the county courthouse serving Williams County, Ohio. The courthouse was built in the late nineteenth century to replace an earlier courthouse; Bryan had been the Williams County seat since 1840. Architect E.O. Fallis of Toledo designed the courthouse in the Romanesque Revival style, which was nationally popular in the late nineteenth century. The design for the courthouse was approved by the county in 1888, and the building's cornerstone was placed the next year; construction was completed in 1891. The courthouse features a large clock tower at its center and eight turrets on its sides, with a large and a small turret atop each entrance bay.
