The Chandra Memorial League, previously known as Agartala League, is a group of state-level divisions of men's football league in the Indian state of Tripura. The Tripura Football Association conducts an annual Domestic League football tournament in Agartala city. This league has a three tier structure and is divided into the A, B and C Divisions which follows promotions and relegations similar to other football competitions in India. Santosh Trophy Association football tournament in India

The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a knock-out semi-professional football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played and gained honour while playing in the Santosh Trophy. The tournament is held every year with 37 teams, who are divided into five zones, must play in the qualifying round and progress into the tournament proper. The current champions are Kerala, who won their seventh title during the 2021–2022 edition.

Krishna Nagar is one of the most densely populated parts of the Agartala city and located almost in the middle of Agartala. Royal Ujjayanta Palace which is now visitors point formerly Tripura Legislative Assembly is situated west part of Krishna Nagar. The most visited temples of Agartala like Mehar Kalibari, Jagannnatha temple, Laxminarayana temple, Durgabari temple, Alekhbaba temple and Satsangha Bihar are situated very near and within this locality. Most of the renowned persons of the State of Tripura live here. Once Rabindranath Tagore also stayed in Krishna Nagar at the House of Colonel Mahim Thakur.
