Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, also known as Dada, is an Indian cricket commentator and former cricketer. He is popularly called the Maharaja of Indian Cricket. Previously, he also captained the team in Twenty20 International (T20I) matches and led India's win in 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, subsequent to which he retired from T20s in June 2024. The right-handed batsman, who is considered one of the best batsmen of his generation and one of the greatest opening batters of all time, is known for his timing, elegance, six-hitting abilities and leadership skills.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is the governing body for cricket in the Indian state of West Bengal. It owns the Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata, where its headquarters are located. CAB is a full member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and organises various events in West Bengal. It manages the Bengal cricket team, which has competed in domestic tournaments since 1935 and plays its home matches at Eden Gardens.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Yusuf Pathan</span> Indian cricketer and politician

Yusuf Khan Pathan is an Indian former cricketer and politician of the Trinamool Congress. Pathan made his debut in first-class cricket in 2001/02. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. His younger brother, Irfan Pathan was also an Indian cricketer. Pathan retired from all forms of cricket in February 2021. He was a member of the Indian team that won both the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 Cricket World Cup. As of June 2024, Pathan is a Member of Parliament from the Baharampur Lok Sabha constituency of West Bengal.

The Bengal women's cricket team is a women's cricket team that represents the Indian state of West Bengal. The team competes in the Women's Senior One Day Trophy and the Women's Senior T20 Trophy. They won the One Day Trophy in 2018–19 in their first and only final so far, beating Andhra in the final by 10 runs.

The Saurashtra Premier League (SPL) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league in Saurashtra, India. The league has been formed in 2019 by the Saurashtra Cricket Association. It is usually played during summer season between May - August. First begun in 2019, it was planned to be held annually.

The 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the thirteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 10 to 31 January 2021, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Tamil Nadu, their second title.

The Women's T20 Challenge was an Indian women's cricket Twenty20 tournament that was held between 2018 and 2022. The tournament featured three teams, playing a round-robin group followed by a final. IPL Supernovas were the most successful team in the history of the tournament, with three title wins.

The Mumbai Indians are an Indian women's cricket team that compete in the Women's Premier League (WPL), based in Mumbai. The team is owned by Indiawin Sports, who also owns the men's team, winning the rights to own and operate the Mumbai-based franchise for a sum of 912.99 crore (US$110 million). The team is coached by Charlotte Edwards and captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. The side won the inaugural edition of the WPL, beating Delhi Capitals in the final.

Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league that is annually held in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is contested by six city-based franchise teams. The league is formed in 2023 by the Rajasthan Cricket Association. It is usually played from August to September.

The Bengal Pro T20 League is a men's and women's Twenty20 cricket league that is annually held at the state of West Bengal in India and contested by eight franchise teams. The league was formed in 2024 by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). It is usually played during post summer season from June to August of every year.

The 2024 Bengal Pro T20 League is the inaugural edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League, a franchise 20-over league in West Bengal, India. It is organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal. The tournament will host both the men's and women's tournaments simultaneously.

Sher E Punjab T20 Cup is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Punjab India, organised by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) and first contested during the 2023 season. It is contested by six teams. The first winners of the tournament were BLV Blasters.
