Creative Capers Entertainment is an American animation studio founded by Terry and Sue Shakespeare with David Molina in 1989. Based in Altadena, California, it specializes in Flash and hand-drawn animation in various feature films, television series, commercials, CD-ROMs and video games.
The studio was originally populated by animators who worked for Sullivan Bluth Studios Ireland Limited, including Mark Koetsier, Silvia Hoefnagels, Stefan Fjeldmark (one of the directors of Talking Tom & Friends ), Greg Tiernan (co-founder of Dagda Film and founder of Nitrogen Studios), Shane Zalvin, Shawn Krause [1] and Adam Burke. It also operated a division called Creative Capers Cartoons, also known as The Hollywood Cartoon Company, which was mainly used for providing additional animation for some feature films. The studio was also an uncredited additional animation facility for Disney's Beauty and the Beast , Aladdin and The Lion King , and most notably provided the CGI animation for the direct-to-video Bionicle trilogy.
