History

Tau Films was founded in 2014 by John Hughes, [2] Mandeep Singh, [3] and Walt Jones. [1] [4] In 2015, it was nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project at the 13th Visual Effects Society Awards for its work on the amusement park special venue-ride film The Lost Temple (Movie Park Germany) . [5] [6] It has since produced other special venue-ride films such as The Forbidden Caves (Bobbejaanland) [7] and Racing Legends at Ferrari Land (PortAventura World:Ferrari Land) . [8] It also created Delusion: Lies Within (virtual reality episodic storytelling). [9] Tau has worked on films such as Evil Nature (2018), [10] Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] 2.0 (2018), [16] [17] Crazy Alien (2019), [18] [19] the 2019 Nicolas Cage film Primal , [20] [21] Simon West's Skyfire (2019), [22] and Li Weiran's The Yinyang Master (2021). Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is an American motion picture visual effects company that was founded on May 26, 1975 by George Lucas. It is a division of the film production company Lucasfilm, which Lucas founded, and was created when he began production on the original Star Wars, now the fourth episode of the Skywalker Saga.

Wētā FX, formerly known as Weta Digital, is a New Zealand-based digital visual effects company based in Miramar, Wellington. Gregory S. Butler is an Academy Award-winning American visual effects supervisor. He graduated from Suffield High School in 1989 and afterwards entered Hampshire College. Despite his initial plans to study history, a work-study job with the audiovisual equipment in the library made him interested in film production. Butler graduated in 1993 with a major in film, television and theater design. Afterwards he moved to California to work for Industrial Light and Magic for 9 months, where after intern work he managed to become an assistant in the effects department, starting with assistant credits in The Mask and Forrest Gump. Following a job at Rocket Science Games until the company's bankruptcy in 1996, Butler went to Tippett Studio and did effects work in Starship Troopers and My Favorite Martian, rising up to a technical director job, and Cinesite for Practical Magic. While reluctant at the requirement of moving to New Zealand, Butler was convinced by his writer-actor brother to jump at the opportunity of working for Weta Digital in The Lord of the Rings. Among his achievements was working on the creation of Gollum. for which he was awarded a Visual Effects Society Award.

<i>Baahubali: The Beginning</i> 2015 film directed by S.S.Rajamouli

Baahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language epic action film co-written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The film was produced in Tollywood and was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. It features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The first of two cinematic parts, the film follows Sivudu, an adventurous young man who helps his love Avantika rescue Devasena, the former queen of Mahishmati who is now a prisoner under the tyrannical rule of king Bhallaladeva. The story concludes in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
