ShadowMachine is an American animation studio and production company for film, television, commercials and music videos.

Since its early days producing the stop-motion animation show Robot Chicken , the company has been producing such shows as Moral Orel , Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, The Shivering Truth and Titan Maximum for Adult Swim. Afterwards, the company produced BoJack Horseman , for Michael Eisner's Tornante Company, starring Will Arnett, Aaron Paul, and Amy Sedaris, as well as Tuca & Bertie , starring Tiffany Haddish, Ali Wong, and Steven Yeun. <i>Descendant</i> (2022 film) 2022 American film

Descendant is a 2022 American historical documentary film directed by Margaret Brown, chronicling the story behind Africatown in Alabama, and the descendants of the last known enslaved Africans brought to the United States aboard the Clotilda. The film premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, where it was picked up for wider distribution by Higher Ground Productions and Netflix. It received a theatrical release on October 21, 2022 and was available to stream on Netflix that day as well.

The 6th Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards, presented by the Hollywood Critics Association, took place on the evening of February 24, 2023, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills, while the winners of the 1st Hollywood Critics Association Creative Arts Film Awards were announced earlier that day via social media platforms. The nominations for both events were announced on the HCA official YouTube channel and app on December 8 and December 15, 2022, respectively; Jalyn Hall, Jude Hill, and Madeleine McGraw announced the December 15 nominations.
