Cyril Odutemu is an Anglican archbishop in Nigeria. [1] [2]

Odutemu is Bishop of Ughelli [3] and Archbishop of Bendel. [4]


Archbishop Odutemu was born on 2 May 1972 at a crusade ground during the evangelical exploits of the late popular evangelist, Cornelius Adam Igbudu. [5]

The Church of Nigeria is the Anglican church in Nigeria. It is the second-largest province in the Anglican Communion, as measured by baptised membership, after the Church of England. Peter Jasper Akinola is the former Anglican Primate of the Church of Nigeria. He is also the former bishop of Abuja and Archbishop of Province III, which covered the northern and central parts of the country. When the division into ecclesiastical provinces was adopted in 2002, he became the first Archbishop of Abuja Province, a position he held until 2010. He is married and a father of six.

Isoko South is a local government area (LGA) in the Isoko region of Delta State, Nigeria. With its headquarters at Oleh, Nigeria, it is one of the two local governments that make up the Isoko region. The other is Isoko North, which has its headquarters at Ozoro.

Nicholas Dikeriehi Orogodo Okoh is the former archbishop of Abuja Province and primate of the Church of Nigeria in the Anglican Communion. He retired on 25 March 2020. He has been married to Nkasiobi Amaechi since 1986 and they have five children.

The Bendel Province is one of the fourteen ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It comprises thirteen dioceses, each one headed by a bishop and it was created in 2002, when the current division into provinces was adopted. His headquarters are located in Asaba. The first Archbishop of the Bendel Province was Albert Agbaje, who died in 2005. He was succeeded by Nicholas Okoh, latter replaced upon his election as Primate of Nigeria by Friday John Imaekhai in 2010. In 2020 Cyril Odutemu became Archbishop of Bendel.

The Anglican Diocese of Esan is one of twelve within the Anglican Province of Bendel, itself one of fourteen provinces within the Church of Nigeria. Its bishop from 2000 to 2020, Friday John Imaekhai, was also Archbishop of the Province from 2010 to 2020. The current bishop is Gabriel Elabor; he was consecrated a bishop on 21 September 2020 at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Abuja.
