DTX (previously known as Discovery Turbo Xtra) was a television channel focused on programming about cars owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. It was a CEEMEA version of Discovery Turbo.
The channel was launched under the name Discovery Turbo Xtra to replace the European version of Discovery World, with the first launch in Poland on 17 September 2013. [1] The channel roll-out in 2015 in Albania and in 2016 in Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltics, Russia, CIS, Ukraine, Turkey and MENA. In the Middle East, it was launched on 1 April 2016 on beIN Network. [2] A few months later the network was rebranded worldwide as DTX.
On 9 March 2022, Discovery Inc. pulled their channels from the Russian market after the nation's invasion of Ukraine. [3]
DTX and Discovery Science began to cease their operations at the end of 31 December 2023, with all networks wound down by 5 January 2024. [4] [5] [6] [7]

First Baltic channel was a Baltic pay television channel based on the largest Russian Channel One to broadcast its programs in the Baltic states. It was launched on 4 September 2002. The channel had also broadcast the local news programme Latvian time since June 2003. The channel was closed in Latvia on 26 October 2021 due to misinformation about COVID-19 and two other violations. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, its license was revoked and the channel was effectively banned in all three Baltic States.
