The Deberry-Hurt House is a historic house in Madison County, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built for Mathias Deberry in 1823. [2] It was expanded by his son-in-law, Robert B. Hurt, in 1855. [2] By 1922, it belonged to Hurt's granddaughter, Elizabeth Hurt Leeper. [2]

The house was designed in the Federal architectural style. [2] It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 8, 1980. [1]

Hurt Building United States historic place

The Hurt Building is an 18-story building located at 50 Hurt Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia with a unique triangular shape. One of the nation's earliest skyscrapers, the Hurt Building was built between 1913 and 1926, and was the initial home for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. It was renovated in 1985. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Dinglewood, Columbus, Georgia United States historic place

Dinglewood is a neighborhood/subdistrict located at the southern edge of Midtown Columbus, Georgia. In it is the tallest building in Columbus, the Aflac Tower. It is also home to the famous Dinglewood Pharmacy, which serves, in the opinions of the city's residents, the city's best scrambled hot dog. The boundaries of the neighborhood are generally acknowledged to be 17th Street to the north, Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to the south, Interstate 185 to the east and Veterans Parkway to the west. In 2007, the estimated population of the area was 1,101.

Joel Hurt House United States historic place

The Joel Hurt House is a historic house in Hurtsboro, Alabama, U.S.. It was built in 1857-1858 for Joel Hurt, his wife Lucy and three sons. During the American Civil War of 1861–1865, the three sons served in the Confederate States Army, and one of them was killed in combat. After the war, Lucy's sister and her husband, Edward Norphlet Brown, who also served as the first mayor of Hurtsboro, lived in the house. In 1900, it was acquired by his son-in-law, Dr. Walter B. Hendrick, who lived there with his wife Margaret until his death in 1941; she went on to live in the house until her death in 1968. It was inherited by their daughter Kate, who lived there until her death in 1997. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 11, 2005.

Walter Hurt Cargill House United States historic place

The Walter Hurt Cargill House, in Columbus, Georgia, is a Georgian Revival-style house built in about 1918. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
