The Education Secretary of Pakistan is the Federal Secretary for Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The position is occupied by a BPS-22 grade officer, usually belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service.

The Secretary heads the Ministry which is mandated to prepare policy direction for preparing and training of the country's manpower to meet national and international demands for skilled workforce. After the Eighteenth Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan in 2010, the subject of education was devolved from the federal government to the provincial governments, which has drastically reduced the powers and mandate of the Federal Education Secretary. [1]

The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) was established in 2002 by General Pervaiz Musharraf, it primarily functioned under Cabinet Division but was later transferred to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training under 18th Amendment. Its Head Office is located in Islamabad, Pakistan.Dr. Nasim Ashraf was the first chairman of NCHD. Ms. Nafisa Shah also remained the organization's Chairperson as well as Ms. Razina Alam Khan. The current chairperson is Col(R) Amirullah Marwat and the current Director General is Mr. Hassan Baig of Secretariat Group. Mr. Orya Maqbool Jan of District Management Group also remained DG NCHD. Ms. Samina Waqar also took charge of being the organization's DG. Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, PhD PAS UNESCO Confucius Laureate and Federal Additional Secretary also served as DG NCHD. Dr. Malik later served as Secretary Education, School Education Department and retired as Federal Secretary to the Government of Pakistan in June 2020. Honorable Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik is a renowned academic, researcher, author with erudite experience as management, institutional development specialist. Dr. Malik primarily focused on education and human development sectors and served at the top positions with distinction for a long time. He served as Secretary Education, leading one of the largest education system around the globe during 2017 -2019. He successfully ensured access, equity and quality in education and 'The Economist' of Feb 2018 wrote on his contributions and achievements. His services were recognized by United Nations - UNESCO and Dr. Malik was conferred UNESCO Confucius Award in 2011. He is popularly known as Educator to the Poor in academic circles. He also served in the highest rank of Civil Service of Pakistan BPS-22 grade as the Federal Education and Health Secretary of Pakistan.[1] Dr. Malik belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and is considered to be a management, human development and institutional development specialist. He has also led the professional teams in development sector in inter-sectoral, multi-temporal and cross-disciplinary fields in Education, Health, Governance, Institutional Development, Planning, Development and Reforms at national and international level.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan Pakistani professional accountancy organization

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan is a professional accountancy body in Pakistan. As of 2022, it has over 8,000 members working in and outside Pakistan. The institute was established on July 1, 1961 to regulate the profession of accountancy in Pakistan. It is a statutory autonomous body established under the Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961. With the significant growth in the profession, the CA Ordinance and Bye-Laws were revised in 1983.

Paul Pate 28th and 32nd Secretary of State of Iowa

Paul Danny Pate Jr. is an American businessman and politician serving as the 32nd and current Secretary of State of Iowa since 2015, previously holding the office from 1995 to 1999. The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education commonly known as FBISE) is a Government of Pakistan board for examining the intermediate and secondary education in Pakistan and abroad for Pakistan International School. National Youth Awards

The National Youth Awards were conferred between 2008 and 2010 by the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Youth Affairs to high-achieving and distinguished men and women from all over the country. These awards were conferred after a competitive selection process, which commenced in late June every year and culminated in the announcement of the awards on the eve of the International Youth Day on 12 August. The Ministry of Youth Affairs was dissolved in 2010. Since 2019, the Youth for Pakistan organization confers National Youth Awards along similar lines.

The Eighteenth Amendment of the Constitution of Pakistan was passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan on April 8, 2010, removing the power of the President of Pakistan to dissolve the Parliament unilaterally, turning Pakistan from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary republic, and renaming North-West Frontier Province to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The package was intended to counter the sweeping powers amassed by the presidency under former presidents General Pervez Musharraf and General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq and to ease political instability in Pakistan. The bill reversed many infringements on the Constitution of Pakistan over several decades by its military rulers. The amendment bill was passed by the Senate of Pakistan on April 15, 2010 and it became an act of parliament when President Asif Ali Zardari put his signature on the bill on April 19, 2010. It was the first time in Pakistan's history that a president relinquished a significant part of his powers willingly and transferred them to parliament and the office of the prime minister.

Shafqat Mahmood Pakistani politician

Shafqat Mahmood is a Pakistani bureaucrat-turned-politician who served as the Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, and Federal Minister for National History and Literary Heritage, from 20 August 2018 to 3 April 2022. Before going into politics, he served as a grade 20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service.

Muhammad Raza Khan is a former Federal Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights and a retired Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court. He was born in District Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8 August 1946.

National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) is the regulator of Nigerian colleges of education. It formulates National Policy framework for the full development of teacher education and training of teachers. NCCE defines minimum standards for all programmes of teacher education and accredit their certificates and other academic awards.
