Elmdale is a city in Morrison County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 114 at the 2020 census. [5]
Elmdale is in southwestern Morrison County. It is bordered to the south, east, and west by Elmdale Township and to the north by Swan River Township. Minnesota State Highway 238 and Morrison County Road 1 are two of the main routes in the community. Highway 238 leads west-southwest 5 miles (8 km) to Upsala and northeast 16 miles (26 km) to Little Falls, the Morrison county seat.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Elmdale has a total area of 3.44 square miles (8.91 km2), all of it recorded as land. [1] The North Two River, a tributary of the Two River, passes through the south side of the city, and Elmdale Creek, a tributary of the Little Two River, passes through the north side. Drainage via the two streams flows east to enter the Mississippi River 6 miles (10 km) away.

There were 47 housing units at an average density of 13.7 per square mile (5.3/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.9% of the population.
There were 44 households, of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.8% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.4% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.32.
The median age in the city was 42.5 years. 25.9% of residents were under the age of 18; 5.2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 25.9% were from 25 to 44; 25.9% were from 45 to 64; and 17.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.7% male and 48.3% female.
