The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Sierra Madre, California is an historic church that was built in 1888. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. [1] It is site #7 on Sierra Madre designated historical landmarks list. There are forty-eight properties listed on Sierra Madre's Designated Historical Properties List. [2]

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.

The Original 1885 Wooden Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Sierra Madre was destroyed by a windstorm in October 1887. [3]

The church was used as a location in John Carpenter's 1980 horror movie The Fog . [4]

The Church of the Ascension is an Episcopal church in the Diocese of New York, located at 36–38 Fifth Avenue and West 10th Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan New York City. It was built in 1840–41, the first church to be built on Fifth Avenue and was designed by Richard Upjohn in the Gothic Revival style. The interior was remodeled by Stanford White in 1885–88.

Old Ship African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Montgomery, Alabama. It is the oldest African American church congregation in the city, established in 1852. The current Classical Revival-style building was designed by Jim Alexander and was completed in 1918. Sierra Madre Memorial Park is a historic landmark park in Sierra Madre, California. The public park is dedicated to Sierra Madre residents who have served in the U.S. Armed forces. The park has monuments, a band shell, tennis court, playground, covered picnic area and a historic house, called the park house, that is a historic landmark. The park is on Sierra Madre Boulevard and Hermosa, next to City Hall.
