Erbium disilicide is a binary inorganic compound of erbium and silicon with the chemical formula ErSi2. [1] [2] Other erbium silicides (ErSi, Er2Si) are known. [3]
ErSi2 forms dark grey crystals of orthorhombic system. [2] Space group P6/mmm. [4]
The compound has been investigated as for semiconductor use, optoelectronics, high-temperature electronics, alloy additives and protective coatings. [5]
