The town is 14.4 miles (23.2 km) south of Half Moon Bay. The ZIP Code is 94060 and the community is inside area code 650. The population was 595 at the 2020 census.

Union Park Congregational Church and Carpenter Chapel is a historic church building at 60 N. Ashland Blvd. on the Near West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The chapel is named after Philo Carpenter, a deacon, a co-founder of the congregation and of the Chicago Theological Seminary, and an early donor of the original church who was also a noted abolitionist and the city's first druggist. The two buildings are considered as a unit; together, they are a Chicago Landmark and an Illinois Historic Landmark and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The church building is currently occupied by the First Baptist Congregational Church, whose official mailing address is 1613 W. Washington Blvd. in Chicago.

On August 24, 1998, the historic building was damaged by fire, after which it was razed and replaced with a new building, which is pictured.

Copperopolis Congregational Church is a historic church building at 411 Main Street in Copperopolis, California. The church was built in 1866 and designed in the Gothic Revival style; it is the only Gothic Revival building remaining in Copperopolis and one of two in Calaveras County. The brick church features a Gothic arch entrance and windows, a gable roof, and a bell tower. The church held Congregational services until it was leased to the Presbyterian Church; it became a Congregational church again in 1874 and remained so until 1895. In 1903, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows bought the church and converted it to a lodge hall. The Odd Fellows owned the church until 1939, when it became a community center.
First Congregational Church is a historic church building at 165 E. Mill Street in Porterville, California. The church was built in 1908 by Porterville's Congregationalists. San Francisco architects Francis W. Reed and George C. Meeker designed the church; their design applies the principles of the First Bay Tradition to a Gothic Revival plan. The design includes a shingled wooden exterior, typical of the First Bay Tradition, and a Gothic spire and arches; the church is the only building in the southern San Joaquin Valley to incorporate both styles. The new church building served as an "institutional church" which also provided community services, including an auditorium, a gymnasium and swimming pool, and a private kindergarten.

Other notable contributing resources are the Johnston-Clum House (1798), Spencer Block, Fairbanks Building, Elks Lodge #2175, Sidney High School (1929), municipal building (1909), Sidney Memorial Library, MacDonald Hose Company (1943), First Congregational Church (1808), United Methodist Church (1931), Smith-Cable house (1808), Ezra Clark house, and Prospect Hill Cemetery. The district also includes one especially well-documented multi-component archeological site representing the period 850 BC-1400 AD.
The Jefferson Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Iowa City, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 39 resources, which included 36 contributing buildings and three non-contributing buildings. This section of the city started to develop to its present form in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During this period the neighborhood was transformed from residential to include churches and buildings associated with the University of Iowa and its hospitals. Both professionals and business owners lived here, along with working-class people. Graduate students, especially those associated with the medical professions, resided in apartment buildings here. Four architecturally significant churches, along with their attendant buildings, are located in the district.
