Vernon Parish is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 48,750. The parish seat is Leesville. Bordered on the west by the Sabine River, the parish was founded in 1871 during the Reconstruction era.
The former First Church of Christ, Scientist, now the Little Rock Community Church, is a historic church building at 2000 South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story Mission style building, designed by noted Arkansas architect John Parks Almand and completed in 1919. Characteristics of the Mission style include the low-pitch tile hip roof, overhanging eaves with exposed rafter ends, and smooth plaster walls. The building also has modest Classical features, found in pilaster capitals and medallions of plaster and terra cotta. The building is local significant for its architecture. It was built for the local Christian Science congregation, which in 1950 sold it to an Evangelical Methodist congregation. That congregation has since severed its association with the Evangelical Methodist movement, and is now known as the Little Rock Community Church.
The New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church is located at 13100 Woodward Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It was built in 1922 as the Trinity United Methodist Church, in the Gothic Revival style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
The Edmond Ellison Smart House, in Leesville in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, is believed to have been built in about 1870. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church and Asbury House is a historic United Methodist church located at 2-10 Mount Vernon Place, Mount Vernon in Baltimore, Maryland. The church "is one of the most photographed buildings in the city, completed in 1872 near the Washington Monument on the site where Francis Scott Key died in 1843. Its sanctuary seats 900 and its rose window is modeled after the one in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris."
First United Methodist Church is a historic United Methodist church at 7 Elm Street at Bleecker Square in Gloversville, Fulton County, New York. It was designed by Horatio Nelson White in the Romanesque Revival style and was built from 1869 to 1870. The main block / sanctuary is a two-story red brick structure set on a cut stone foundation. It is flanked by a staged entrance / bell tower and two-story office wing. An addition was completed in 1909 and is a two-story, polygonal brick structure containing a chapel, Sunday School room and parish hall.

It was built in three stages in 1919–1920, 1936, and 1956–1957. The oldest section is a two-story Classical Revival style brick church with a two-story portico and dome-covered sanctuary.
The St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville, Louisiana is a historic Roman Catholic church which was built in 1909. It is located about four blocks inland from Bayou Lafourche at 417 St. Joseph Street, as part of a two-block parcel which includes a contributing rectory (1895) and a contributing cemetery, as well as three non-contributing buildings. It was added to the National Register in 2001.

The two story Classical Revival tan brick building was built in 1915 and is now part of a church complex occupying an entire city block. The facade portico with Ionic columns and the glass windows have unchanged since the time of construction, and the church exterior is very well preserved. A new church was built in the 1960s on the southern portion of the block and the historic church interior was deeply altered in order to host a basketball court.

It is a two-story brick building with Gothic Revival style, designed by the prominent architectural firm of Thompson and Harding, and built in 1921. Its main facade has three entrances below a large Gothic-arch stained glass window, all framed by cream-colored terra cotta elements. A square tower rises above the center of the transept.
Church Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Batesburg-Leesville, Lexington County, South Carolina. It encompasses nine contributing buildings in a residential section of Leesville. They were largely constructed between about 1865 and 1909, with one house built after 1910. The district includes the Gothic Revival style Leesville Methodist Church (1909) and notable Italianate and Queen Anne style residences.

The Kansas City Southern Depot, now the Museum of West Louisiana, is a former railway station in Leesville, Louisiana. It was built by the Kansas City Southern Railway in 1916. It served as a combination of passenger station, freight station, and crew change point. The station was a busy shipping point during the Vernon Parish lumber boom in the early part of the 1900s. A local KCS train served the station into the 1960s.
