Dexter Avenue Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Montgomery, Alabama, United States, affiliated with the Progressive National Baptist Convention. The church was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1974 because of its importance in the civil rights movement and American history. In 1978 the official name was changed to the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was pastor there and helped organize the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 during the civil rights era. The church is located steps away from the Alabama State Capitol.

It was built in 1792, when the settlement was known as Brookfield. It is one of the oldest extant church buildings in the county, and one of the earliest buildings in the settlement that became Slate Hill.

Built in 1853, this wood frame structure was Milo's first church, shared initially by Baptist and Free Will Baptist congregations before becoming the exclusive property of the latter. It has served as the local history museum since 1996. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Big Run Baptist Church and Cemetery, also known as Franklin Township Historical Society, is a historic Baptist church and cemetery located at 6510 South Franklin Road in Franklin Township, Marion County, Indiana. The church was built in 1871 as a Baptist meeting house and served the church congregation until 1977. It is a one-story, gable front brick building with Italianate style design elements. The associated cemetery was established in 1854, with one stone dated to 1841. The most recent burial was in 1986. Also on the property is a contributing privy constructed about 1920. The Franklin Township Historical Society acquired the property and now uses the building as a historical museum.
Bear Creek Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church in Adair County, Missouri. It is located approximately four miles northwest of Kirksville on Missouri Route B. Built in 1860, the church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The church is currently in a state of considerable disrepair and no services are held there. The church, adjoining cemetery, and surrounding acreage are owned and maintained by the non-profit organization, Bear Creek Cemetery Association of Adair County.

Centerville station, now known as the Appanoose County Post 526 VFW Hall, is an historic train station located in Centerville, Iowa, United States. The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) bought the Keokuk & Western Railroad in 1903. Centerville served as a dividing point on the line and by 1910 the people in the town started to plan for a larger station. Its architect is unknown, but the depot was probably designed by a CB&Q architect using fairly standard plans that were used by the railroad at the time. Construction of the Prairie School style building began in July 1911 and it was completed in February of the following year. Local contractor B.S. Staley built the building. The building was used by the CB&Q until 1982. It was bought by the Appanoose County VFW post for their meeting hall in 1990 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 as the CB&Q Passenger Depot.
Bay Settlement Church and Monument is a historic church building and structure located in rural Delaware County, Iowa, southwest of Delhi. Organized in 1846 as the Upper Bay Church, it was the first Free Baptist Church congregation in Iowa. They built a log structure for their church the same year, and it served the congregation until this frame, front gable structure was completed in 1873. A monument to honor their 14 Civil War dead was erected in the cemetery in 1865. Its dedication in August that year is believed to be the first Memorial Day service in Iowa. Services were held on May 30 in succeeding years. The church and monument were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
Sciola Missionary Baptist Church, also known as Sciola Community Church, is a historic church located in Sciola, Iowa, United States. It is the only building left from the former town, and a rare example of an early Iowa frame church building. The Sciola Post Office was established in 1855, and was the first one established in Montgomery County. The village was composed of a few stores, the church, and the post office.
The former Second Baptist Church is a historic building located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, United States. The First Colored Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, later Second Baptist Church, was founded in the summer of 1863 by members of First Baptist Church for the education and worship of the community's African American population. The congregation is also referred to as the "African Baptist Church". It is possible that this building was the original Methodist Episcopal church building constructed in 1843. It is believed that it was moved here in 1856 or 1857 for a newly established congregation of the Methodist Protestant Church. Either that or the main part of this small frame church was built here at that time. Regardless, the Methodist Protestant congregation did not succeed and the property was sold to First Baptist Church in January 1864 for use by the "Colored Baptist Church."
