The tallest object on the downtown skyline of Lynchburg, Virginia, Court Street Baptist Church stands as a testament to the black Baptist population of Lynchburg. Organized in 1843, the congregation—originally known as the African Baptist Church of Lynchburg—was the first of its kind in the city. The church was designed by R.C. Burkholder, and completed in 1880.
First Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at 1100 Court Street, Lynchburg, Virginia. It is built of hard-pressed red brick on a rough granite foundation. The main facade of the church, facing Eleventh Street, and the two sides are centered with large rose windows framed within Gothic arches covered with hood moldings. Construction began in 1884 and the church was dedicated in 1886. In the 1920s, Lynchburg architect Stanhope S. Johnson designed the complementary Sunday School annex. In 1941, the interior of the sanctuary was modified by Stanhope S. Johnson, with the creation of a divided chancel. It is home to the oldest Baptist congregation of Lynchburg, established in July 1815. Current as of 2020, First Baptist Church is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).
Delevan Baptist Church, also known as First Baptist Church and First Colored Baptist Church, is a historic African-American Baptist church building located at 632 W. Main Street in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1883, and is a one-story, three bay by six bay, Victorian Romanesque style brick church. It sits on a raised basement and features with a square projecting central tower topped by a large octagonal lantern on a square base, both of wood.
Mangohick Church, also known as Mangohick Baptist Church, is a historic Baptist church located in the community of Mangohick, King William County, Virginia. It was constructed in 1730, and is a one-story, rectangular brick building with a steep gable roof. It measures 61 feet by 21 feet. Originally built for an Episcopalian congregation, it was apparently abandoned by them soon after the Disestablishment. The church remains in active use.
The Church Hill North Historic District is a historic district in Richmond, Virginia, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. An expansion of the district was listed in 2000. This added 37 acres (15 ha) to the original 70 acres (28 ha)

Coan Baptist Church, also known as Wicomico Church, is a historic Southern Baptist church located near Heathsville, Northumberland County, Virginia. It was built in 1846, and is a rectangular, two-story, gable-roofed, brick structure. It has Federal and Greek Revival style design elements. Additions were made in 1957 and 1975. The congregation was founded in 1804 as the Wicomico Church.
Mount Salem Baptist Meetinghouse, also known as Mount Salem Baptist Church, is a historic Baptist meeting house located near Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia. It was built in 1850–1851, and is a one-story, stuccoed stone building. It measures 40 feet by 50 feet and is topped by a gable roof. The church was restored and put into active service in 1977, after closure in 1942.

It is a Romanesque Revival-style church with a richly ornamented facade of rough-faced, pink granite ashlar and limestone trim. It features a tall, eight-level corner tower with a multiplicity of window types and a shorter flanking tower at the opposite corner. Construction began in 1904.
First Calvary Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located in Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1915 and 1916 and is a four-story, 11 bay, brick church building in the Second Renaissance Revival style. The building features decorative terra cotta and a stained-glass dome. It has a two-tier, engaged entrance portico with fluted columns, Corinthian order capitals, and terra cotta entablatures. The building also has a three-stage bell tower.
Queen Street Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1910–1911, and is a rectangular one-story brick church in the Late Gothic Revival style. The façade and side elevations have Gothic pointed arch windows and the church is topped by a spire that rests atop the roof at the façade. An educational annex was built in 1952, and expanded in 1957. The Queen Street Baptist Church congregation dates to 1884.

Leigh Street Baptist Church is a historic Southern Baptist church in Church Hill North Historic District which is in Richmond, Virginia. It was designed by architect Samuel Sloan and built between 1854 and 1857. It is a three-story, Greek Revival style stuccoed brick structure. It features a Grecian Doric, pedimented portico with six fluted columns and a full entablature which continues around the side of the church. Additions were made in 1911, 1917, and 1930.
Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located in Richmond, Virginia. The sanctuary was built in 1887 by John Jasper, and expanded in 1925. It is a two-story, Late Gothic Revival style stuccoed brick structure. It features a large off-center tower that houses the church bell in belfry and accommodates a large stairwell to the gallery. Attached to the sanctuary is the two-level Jasper Memorial Education Annex added in 1925.
Mount Moriah Baptist Church and Cemetery is a historic African-American Baptist church and cemetery located at Roanoke, Virginia. It was built about 1908, and is a small, one-story, rectangular frame church sheathed in weatherboard. It consists of a main sanctuary, a front vestibule, and a rear chancel bay. The frame building sits on a raised foundation of uncoursed fieldstones. The associated burial ground contains over 100 interments from the 1870s through the present.
