The Gate School is the historic former school in Gate, Washington. The one room schoolhouse was built in 1910. The frame building features a gable roof, eaves with decorative brackets, exposed rafter tails, a brick chimney, and a square bell tower. After the school consolidated with Rochester's school district in 1941, the school building became a community center. [2] The school was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 19, 1990. [1]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Columbus Fireman's Park Complex</span> United States historic place

The Columbus Fireman's Park Complex consists of the Pavilion, a historic building used for many years and built by hand, the Rest Haven a building where people could use a resting place during a journey, and the Boys Scout Cabin and two gates into the complex in Fireman's Park in Columbus, Wisconsin, United States. Fireman's Park became a Columbus city park in 1915, and the city's fire department developed the park as a community project. The park's pavilion opened in 1917; while mainly used for community dances, the pavilion also hosted a variety of other events. Another building in the park, known as Rest Haven, opened in 1923. This building, a Prairie School structure designed by Alfred C. Clas, was used for cooking and sanitation by the many auto tourists who visited the park. The west wall and gate of the park were built in 1917 and are also part of the historic site. The park buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 25, 2004.

The Gate School is the historic former school in Gate, Oklahoma. The yellow brick building was constructed by the Works Progress Administration from 1937 to 1938. The new school building replaced an existing school; due to budgetary constraints, the WPA reused materials from the previous school in the new building. The WPA worked extensively in Beaver County, which includes Gate, due to the Dust Bowl's impact on the local economy, and the new Gate School was one of several WPA-built school buildings in the county. The school served as the local elementary and high school until the high school consolidated with the Laverne school district in 1972; the elementary school followed suit in 1992.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Glendale School</span> United States historic place

The Glendale School of Sparks, Nevada, is the oldest remaining schoolhouse in the state and is also reported to be the longest operating school in the state. It was built in 1864 and served as a school until 1958. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
