Nadia Comăneci Romanian gymnast (born 1961)

Nadia Elena Comăneci Conner, known professionally as Nadia Comăneci, is a Romanian retired gymnast and a five-time Olympic gold medalist, all in individual events. In 1976, at the age of 14, Comăneci was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10.0 at the Olympic Games. At the same Games she received six more perfect 10s for events en route to winning three gold medals. At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow Comăneci won two more gold medals and achieved two more perfect 10s. During her career Comăneci won nine Olympic medals and four World Artistic Gymnastics Championship medals.

Pro Cinema is a Romanian movie channel that launched on April 19, 2004. It is owned by Central European Media Enterprises. It was the first Romanian TV channel dedicated exclusively to movies, and as such it attracted a significant audience from its very inception, mainly in the 21-54 urban demographic. Contrary to most indigenous channels, Pro Cinema aired a wide array of movies, ranging from Romanian and international classics to recent American blockbusters. The channel introduced popular contemporary series such as The Sopranos, Monk, Alarm für Cobra 11, Two and a Half Men or The Shield, but also aired older sitcoms such as Seinfeld and Friends, which were formerly broadcast by Pro TV. PRO Cinema also aired shows such as Saturday Night Live and various documentaries featuring famous actors and directors.

Antena Internațional is an international television station, owned by the Intact Media Group, designated for Romanians that are living outside Romania. It started broadcasting on 1 July 2006. It can be seen only in United States and Canada, where it is available on RSC2, one of the Romanian channels offered by Silviu Prigoanǎ's RomSatNet. A subscription costs US$20 a month before taxes. All the shows that are broadcast simultaneously or reruns of shows already broadcast on Antena 1, Antena Stars, Antena 3 or Happy Channel.

U TV is a Romanian free-to-air music television channel located in Bucharest owned by RCS & RDS S.A.. It was launched in late 2005 under the slogan "All I want for Christmas is U". It belonged to UTI GROUP, but was later sold to RCS RDS. The second television channel followed in 1968, but between 1985 and 1990, there was only one Romanian channel before the return of the second channel. Private broadcasters arrived in December 1991, with SOTI which was the first private nationwide television station in Central and Eastern Europe. Romania has the highest penetration rates for pay television in the world, with over 98% of all households watching television through cable or satellite.

TVR HD was a Romanian free-to-air high definition channel, owned by TVR, the Romanian state-owned broadcasting corporation. It broadcast programming of TVR1 and TVR2 in HD.

Speranta is a Christian television channel in Romania, broadcast in the Romanian language. It is owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Speranta features programming produced by Adventist churches, colleges, hospitals and institutions, covering religious, health, educational and family life topics. Speranta is a 24-hour broadcaster on satellite.

Atomic TV is a Romanian television network launched on 20 November 2021 as an online livestreaming channel, and on 23 November 2021 as a television channel. The channel primarily airs music made in Romania from the 90's and 2000's, but also music from 2010's.

Music Channel came to prominence as the first Romanian TV station to host Live streaming on the internet. The TV station is known for hosting the yearly Romanian Music Awards Unlikely to MTV Romania and Kiss TV, the station is more genre-broadcasting, dividing its airplay into the four most prominent music genres — pop, rock, urban and dance, much in the likes of UTV. Noteworthy, Music Channel is known for also airing Latin pop, adult contemporary, J-pop and K-pop among other genres that don't receive significant airplay from other music stations. Compared by many to VH1, the TV station conceived many Top-Tens and Top-100s and starting late-November they start playing Christmas music.

Comedy Central (Romanian TV channel) Television channel

Comedy Central Romania is the Romanian version of Comedy Central. The channel broadcasts comedy oriented shows. It was launched on 18 September 2016, replacing Comedy Central Extra Adria in the country. Since then it has produced local Romanian content, and became widely popular.
