The Hotel Phillips, a historic 217-room hotel located on 12th Street in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, opened in 1931. [2]
The site was formerly occupied by the Glennon Hotel, in which Harry S. Truman operated a haberdashery shop. [2] That hotel was demolished, and the Phillips was constructed at a cost of $1.6 million, opening in February 1931. [3] The 450-room hotel was then the tallest in Kansas City, at 20 stories. It is directly across from the historic Muehlebach Hotel.
The Phillips was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. [1] It operated in the 1990s as the Radisson Suite Hotel Kansas City. [2] It was bought by Marcus Hotels in 2001 from Wyndham Hotels. [3]
The lobby contains an eleven-foot sculpture of the Goddess of Dawn, created in 1931 by Kansas City sculptor Jorgen Dreyer. [4]
In October 2015, it was announced that The Phillips was purchased by Arbor Lodging Partners. The Phillips was renovated and joined the Curio Collection by Hilton.
The Magnolia Hotel is a 29-story, Beaux-Arts style, upscale hotel in the Main Street District of downtown Dallas, Texas, that for many years was the tallest building in the state after surpassing the Adolphus Hotel. The structure is a Dallas Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Hotel Muehlebach is a historic hotel building in Downtown Kansas City that was visited by every President from Theodore Roosevelt to Ronald Reagan. It is currently operated as one of three wings of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown hotel.

The National Bank of Rolla Building was opened in March 1931 at 8th and Pine Streets in Rolla, Missouri, midway between St. Louis and Springfield. Because of its architectural character and its importance in the life of the city and history of U.S. Route 66, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
The Hotel Tallcorn is located in Marshalltown, Iowa. Today it is called the Tallcorn Towers Apartments. Built in 1928 by the Eppley Hotel Company, local citizens contributed $120,000 to ensure the successful completion of this seven-story hotel. It was completed in connection to the seventy-fifth anniversary of Marshalltown. The hotel's sale in 1956 from the Eppley chain to the Sheraton Corporation was part of the second largest hotel sale in United States history. The Tallcorn was listed as a contributing property in the Marshalltown Downtown Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Savoy Hotel was the oldest continuously operating hotel in the United States west of the Mississippi River until it closed in 2016 to undergo extensive renovation by 21c Museum Hotels and reopened in 2018. In 1974 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "Savoy Hotel and Grill". It is now called "21c Museum Hotel Kansas City".

The numerous historic hotels in Meridian, Mississippi, provide insights into the city's growth and expansion, both in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and into the modern age. Many hotels were built in downtown Meridian in the early 1900s to provide lodging for passengers of the railroad, which was essential to the city's growth at the turn of the 20th century.
