Hygromiidae is a taxonomic family of small to medium-sized air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Helicoidea. [1]

Anatomy

Some snails in genera within this family create and use love darts as part of their courtship and mating behavior.
