Hardin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 54,635. The county seat is Kountze. The county is named for the family of William Hardin from Liberty County, Texas.

It was designed in the Colonial Revival style by Darlington native William Augustus Edwards who designed eight other South Carolina courthouses as well as academic buildings at 12 institutions in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Jasper County was created in 1912 and this is the only courthouse it has ever had, On October 30, 1981, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Newton County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Kentland, Newton County, Indiana, United States. The original Newton County was formed by statute on February 7, 1835, and was a roughly square area some 30 miles on a side, encompassing what is now the northern half of the county, the northern half of Jasper County, and a large section to the north. The northern border was cut back to the Kankakee River on February 1, 1836, with all land north of the Kankakee River going to Lake and Porter counties. The county was abolished and combined with Jasper County in 1839. On December 8, 1859, the county was recreated and the borders were redrawn to essentially their current state.

The First Hancock County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Findlay, Ohio, United States. Built in 1833, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The building, as planned in December 1831, was designed to be a temporary structure for the county offices and court system. It was designed as a two-story building measuring 24 by 26 feet; it is a simple frame structure of no particular architectural style. With the exception of the main entrance, the building's elements are purely functional: its shape is simply rectangular with no ornamental details, except for a decorative transom and sidelights framing the main entrance.

The Jasper County Courthouse is a 106-ft tall historic courthouse located at Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. It was built in 1894–1895. This highly photographed Richardsonian Romanesque edifice designed by architect Max A. Orlopp Jr. was constructed with local Carthage marble and has medieval castle features that include turrets, towers, and arches. It is the second most photographed building in Missouri. It remains in use by Jasper County officials.
The Jasper County Courthouse in Jasper, Texas is a building from 1889. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 1984. The courthouse was designed by Eugene T. Heiner in an Italianate style with clock tower. It was stuccoed and altered when additions were added in 1934 giving the building a Neoclassical look. The clock tower was removed in 1957. Another addition was built on in 1960.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and is located in the Rensselaer Courthouse Square Historic District. The Jasper County Courthouse was erected in 1898 at a total cost of $141,731.94. It is located in the center of the Courthouse Square bounded by Washington, Cull en, Harrison and Van Rensselaer Streets. The Courthouse Square, itself, is defined by a retaining wall of concrete, about 18" high and a foot wide. There are steps leading from the street to the walks leading to all four entrances to the building.

It was built during 1906-1907 and reflects Renaissance Revival architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 as the US Post Office and Courthouse. It served historically as a post office and continues to serve as a federal courthouse for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. In 2014, the building was renamed in honor of District Judge Paul Neeley Brown.

The Newton County Courthouse is located at Courthouse Square in the center of Jasper, the county seat of Newton County, Arkansas. It is a two-story masonry structure, constructed out of concrete and limestone, with restrained Art Deco styling. The building has an H shape, with a center section joining flanking projecting wings. The entrance is at the center, with "Newton County" inscribed in a panel above it, with stylized Art Deco elements. It was built in 1939 with funding from the Works Progress Administration. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
The Newton Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Newton, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. At the time of its nomination it contained 85 resources, which included 60 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and 24 non-contributing buildings. Jasper County was established by the Iowa Territorial Legislature in 1846, and Newton was incorporated the following year as the county seat. The town grew slowly at first around the Jasper County Courthouse. Businesses largely served the needs of the local farmers as well as the town's residents. The Mississippi and Missouri Railroad, later the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, came to Newton in 1867. This changed the town's economy from agricultural-based to manufacturing, and the central business district expanded outward as the community grew. Several washing machine companies established themselves in Newton, most notably Maytag. The emergence of Maytag as a major corporation in the mid-20th century led to the transformation of the downtown area. Between 1951 and 1952, 18 businesses installed new storefronts, transforming them from their original Victorian appearance to a more modern appearance. The modernization continued into the 1960s.
