Karasia are a series of concert tours by South Korean girl group Kara. The first concert tour titled Karasia began in Seoul, South Korea in February 2012, [1] and continued with 12 shows in Japan starting in Yokohama in April. [2] The tour was also planned to have dates in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and others, but this never came to fruition. [3]
The 2012 tour concluded in Saitama on May 27, 2012, and attracted around 150,000 people in Japan. The last concert was broadcast live through streaming in 60 different theaters throughout Japan, and all the tickets to the theaters were sold out as well. [4] All solo songs that the girls performed in the Japanese tour was released on the album Kara Collection on September 5, 2012. On January 6, 2013, the group held a special concert at the Tokyo Dome in front of 45,000 people, making them the first female South Korean artist to hold a concert at the venue. [5]
A second tour, also titled Karasia, started in Japan on October 8, 2013. The tour attracted 120,000 people and was the last with members Nicole and Jiyoung prior to their departures from the group in January 2014. The group then embarked on their third Japanese tour on October 24, 2014, their first with new member Youngji. A fourth Karasia Japanese tour took place in September 2015 and was the group's final tour before their disbandment in January 2016. Kara's four concert tours in South Korea and Japan attracted a total of over 420,000 people.

DSP Media is a South Korean entertainment company established in 1991 by Lee Ho-yeon. The company operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house. In January 2022, the company was acquired by RBW.
Kara is a South Korean girl group formed by DSP Media in 2007. The group's current lineup is Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Jiyoung, and Youngji. Kara made their debut in March 2007 with their first studio album, The First Bloooooming, and its title track, "Break It." Originally a quartet composed of Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Nicole Jung, and Kim Sunghee, Kara showcased a strong female image and a mature R&B sound. Expectations for the group were high because they were considered the successors to their senior labelmates, Fin.K.L; however, their debut was a commercial failure. The following year, Sunghee left the group due to parental pressure, and members Goo Hara and Kang Jiyoung were added.
Pretty Girl is the second extended play by South Korean girl group Kara. It was released on December 4, 2008. A song with the same name was released as the title track to promote the album. The title track is a lively and upbeat track that showcases the group's catchy melodies and energetic choreography. A repackage of the EP, titled Honey , was released on February 12, 2009, and spawned the single "Honey".
Japan occupied Korea as a colony from 1910 to 1945. South Korean musicians have been successful in Japan since the inception of Korean popular music. There have been a number of ethnically South Korean singers who have gained fame in Japan. Some of these singers, including Choi Gyuyeop/Hasegawa Ichiro and Yi Nan-yong/Oka Ranko were Zainichi, Koreans with Japanese residency. Among these Zainichi artists, there were and still are some who have made public declarations of their Korean descent, and many more who were rumored to be Korean but have never made formal confirmations. Those who do divulge their heritage often do so after they have attained a relatively stable level of popularity. The act of revealing one's Korean ethnicity is called “coming out.” Nevertheless, there were South Korean singers like Cho Yong-pil and Kye Un-seuk, in the 1970s and 1980s who were household names in Japan, despite not being Zainichi. Today, there are also a number of non-Zainichi Korean artists such as BoA, Crystal Kay, TVXQ, BIGBANG, KARA, and BTS who have found chart and album success in Japan.
Red Room was the first concert tour headlined by South Korean girl group Red Velvet, in support of their first special extended play The Red Summer (2017). The tour is the group's very first concert in three years since their debut.
Lupin is the third Korean extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group Kara, released on February 17, 2010, by DSP. The concept and artwork of the album is based on French writer Maurice Leblanc's fictional gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin. The EP sold over 64,000 copies in 2010, ranking as the 16th best-selling album of the year in South Korea.

Her solo career was interrupted in 2018 after she became embroiled in a legal case with her ex-boyfriend, Choi Jong-Bum, which was initiated when he assaulted Goo and threatened to release their sex video to harm her career.
