This article presents a list of Chilean regions ranked by their Human Development Index (HDI), which is a value between 0 and 1 that summarizes the overall quality of life in a country or region. The HDI is calculated using three key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and having a decent standard of living. [1]
Chile, whose regions all fall in the Very High Human Development category, leads Latin America with the highest HDI. [2] According to the latest data, its seven most developed subdivisions rank as the most advanced in the entire region.
