He is the current Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Previously, he was the Member of Parliament of India from Bhilwara in the 15th Lok Sabha. He was one of the first 19 members of India's new cabinet sworn in on 22 May 2009, despite being a first-time member of the Lok Sabha. As a union minister, Joshi held key portfolios like Road Transport and Highways, and Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in the Second Manmohan Singh ministry. Moreover, he was also a Cabinet Minister of the Government of Rajasthan from 1998 to 2003.

The Ajmer Dargah bombing occurred on 11 October 2007, in the courtyard of Sufi maulana Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, after the Iftar period had started. On 22 March 2017 a Special NIA Court convicted three Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharaks Devendra Gupta, Bhavesh Patel and Sunil Joshi. Sunil Joshi and Devendra Gupta were found guilty on charges of conspiracy and Bhavesh Bhai Patel was found guilty of planting the explosive on the blast site. Gupta and Patel were awarded life imprisonment. Sunil Joshi had been found shot dead in mysterious circumstances soon after the blast in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.

Bhawani Singh was an Indian judge and politician from Rajasthan. A former jagirdar of Pokhran a feudal estate (thikana) in Jodhpur State of Rajasthan in pre-independent India, he became a member of the 1st Lok Sabha, the Lower house of Indian parliament from Barmer-Jalore constituency, after getting elected as an Independent candidate in the 1952 Indian general election.

Admiral Sunil Lanba, PVSM, AVSM, PJG, ADC is a retired Indian naval officer who served as the 23rd Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy. He assumed the office on 31 May 2016 after Admiral Robin K. Dhowan and demitted office three years later on 31 May 2019. During this time, he also served as Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the President of India.

Kirti Kumari member of the erstwhile Royal Family of Bijolia, daughter of present Rao Saheb Shri Chandraveer Singh ji of Bijolia and Rani Saheb Manohar Kanwar of Auwa (Marwar). She was an alumnus of the Sophia Senior Secondary School, Ajmer & later the Sophia College where she completed her Bachelor of Arts. She worked for the Mayo College Girls School as a House Master in Jamila Singh House. Next she entered into politics and was a politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly representing the Mandalgarh Vidhan Sabha constituency in Bhilwara district, Rajasthan. Kumari died of a swine flu infection on 28 August 2017. She was fifty years old.
