The World Golf Hall of Fame was, until recently, located at World Golf Village between Jacksonville, Florida and St. Augustine, Florida, in the United States. It was moved back to Pinehurst, North Carolina, with the new campus opening in 2024.

The Women's Open is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament.

JoAnne Gunderson Carner is an American former professional golfer. Her 43 victories on the LPGA Tour led to her induction in the World Golf Hall of Fame. She is the only woman to have won the U.S. Girls' Junior, U.S. Women's Amateur, and U.S. Women's Open titles, and was the first person to win three different USGA championship events. Tiger Woods is the only man to have won the equivalent three USGA titles. Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Carol Semple Thompson have also won three different USGA titles.

The 2021 ANA Inspiration was the 50th ANA Inspiration golf tournament, held April 1–4, 2021 at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course of Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. It was its 39th year as a major championship on the LPGA Tour, and Golf Channel televised the event for the 11th consecutive year. The tournament was originally known as the Colgate-Dinah Shore Winner's Circle.

The 2022 CME Group Tour Championship was the 12th CME Group Tour Championship, a women's professional golf tournament and the season-ending event on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. It was played at the Gold Course of Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The CME Group Tour Championship marked the end of the season-long "Race to the CME Globe" in 2022. The event was televised by Golf Channel Thursday through Saturday on a delay, and NBC Sunday live.

The women's individual golf event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place from 7 to 10 August 2024 at the Le Golf National. 60 golfers from 33 nations competed.
