Sydney Metro is the brand name for rapid transit service, operating over a network of purpose-built lines and stations in Sydney, New South Wales currently under construction, in development, or proposed, to be operated by Metro Trains Sydney. As of 2017, 31 stations are planned for the network, divided into two distinct sections, although operating as a single service between two termini, Tallawong on the Sydney Metro Northwest line, and Bankstown on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest line. In addition, a proposed third line, the Sydney Metro West, is anticipated to add more stations to the network if approved by the Government of New South Wales.

Town Hall railway station is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the centre of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932. It is named after the Sydney Town Hall, located directly above the station.

Norwest station takes its name from the 172-hectare Norwest Business Park, in which it is located.
Kellyville railway station is an elevated Sydney Metro Northwest station built by Impregilo-Salini and Metro Trains Sydney for Transport for NSW at Samantha Riley Drive, Kellyville, in Sydney, Australia. Train services from the station run to Rouse Hill and Chatswood, with a journey time to Chatswood of around 33 minutes. As the New South Wales Government's Sydney's Rail Future strategy is delivered over the next 20 years, services are expected to be extended to the Sydney central business district (CBD) and Bankstown. Kellyville Station opened 26 May 2019.
Sydney Metro is a fully automated rapid transit system located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Currently consisting of one line that opened on 26 May 2019, it runs from Tallawong to Chatswood and consists of 13 stations and 36 km (22.4 mi) of twin tracks, mostly underground. Work is progressing to extend this line from Chatswood to Bankstown, running under Sydney Harbour and the CBD with a scheduled 2024 completion. When completed, this line will have 66 km (41.0 mi) of twin tracks and 31 stations in total.
Tallawong railway station, originally known as Cudgegong Road railway station, is a station near the intersection of Cudgegong and Schofield Roads, Rouse Hill, in Sydney, Australia. The station is the terminus of the Metro North West Line to Chatswood that will later be extended through the Sydney central business district to Bankstown. Beyond the station lies a train depot.
Sydney Metro City & Southwest is a 30 km (19 mi) rapid transit railway line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia currently under construction. The project will extend Sydney Metro Northwest from Chatswood on the North Shore, to Bankstown in the city's south-west via the Sydney central business district. The centrepiece of the project is a new 15.5 km (9.6 mi) twin-tunnel rail crossing under Sydney Harbour and through the city to Sydenham. Together with planned improvements to the Main Western line, the project is expected to increase capacity on the Sydney rail network by up to 60%, and allow for the movement of over 100,000 extra commuters across the network every hour.
Sydney Metro was a proposed rapid transit railway network in Sydney, Australia, intended to connect the central business district (CBD) with the inner and outer city suburbs Rouse Hill, Westmead, Malabar and lower North Shore. Initially proposed in 2008 as ‘Metro Link’, the plan was modified and renamed later that year. After half a billion dollars was spent on planning, property acquisitions and a tender process, it was cancelled in 2010.
Metro Trains Sydney Pty Ltd (MTS) is the operator of the Metro North West Line, which runs along the Sydney Metro Northwest. It is a joint venture between MTR Corporation, John Holland and UGL Rail formed in September 2014. The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec acquired 24.9% of the venture in 2019. It operates the network with a fleet of 22 Alstom Metropolis trains under a 15-year contract.
The Metro North West Line is the first and currently the only service in the Sydney Metro network. The service commenced operation on 26 May 2019, running between Tallawong and Chatswood along the Sydney Metro Northwest rail link, which included the Epping to Chatswood rail link.
