Cheyenne East High School is a public high school located in Cheyenne, Wyoming with approximately 1,500 students enrolled in grades nine through twelve. It serves Laramie County School District #1. Students from East Triad schools attend East High School. These schools include: Carey JHS, Alta Vista ES, Anderson ES, Baggs ES, Buffalo Ridge ES, Dildine ES, Henderson ES, Meadowlark ES, and Saddle Ridge ES. The current principal is Sam Mirich, with his associate principals, Marc Kerschner, Gina Huges, and David Haggerty.

Frontier Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located along Dell Range Blvd in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The single-level, 519,471-square-foot (48,260.4 m2) mall opened March 18, 1981. Managed by CBL & Associates Properties of Chattanooga, Tennessee, it is Wyoming's second largest mall, boasting 67 shops, including six anchor stores: Dillard's, JCPenney, JAX Outdoor Gear, Planet Fitness, Appliance Factory Mattress Kingdom, and Jo-Ann.

Cheyenne is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Wyoming, as well as the county seat of Laramie County, with 65,132 residents, per the 2020 census. Local residents named the town for the Cheyenne Native American people in 1867 when it was founded in the Dakota Territory. A general election was held in the U.S. state of Wyoming on Tuesday, November 7, 1950. All of the state's executive officers—the governor, secretary of state, auditor, treasurer, and superintendent of public instruction—were up for election. The Republican Party swept all of the offices. Following Democratic governor Lester C. Hunt's election to the U.S. Senate in 1948, Republican secretary of state Arthur G. Crane had been acting as governor. Republican Congressman Frank A. Barrett was elected governor, and Republican candidates won the other statewide races.

A general election was held in the U.S. state of Wyoming on Tuesday, November 3, 1970. Continuing their success from 1962 and 1966, Republicans won all of the statewide executive offices once again, and all of them by large margins.

All of the state's executive officers—the Governor, Secretary of State, Auditor, Treasurer, and Superintendent of Public Instruction—were up for election. Democrats improved considerably from their performances in 1918, with William B. Ross winning the gubernatorial election and almost all of their statewide candidates outpacing their 1918 nominees. However, Republicans held all of the other statewide offices.
