History

The house was completed in 1876. [2] It was built for Lucius Frierson, a local businessman, and his wife, Sarah Catherine Morgan. [2]

Architectural significance

It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 1, 1978. [3]

Riverwood is a privately owned historic house located in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. At 9,200 square-feet it sits on 8 acres of its original 2,500 acres. It has been a wedding and event facility since 1997.

Frierson House

The Frierson House is a historic house at 1112 South Main Street in Jonesboro, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood frame structure, with a hip roof pierced by gabled dormers. The main facade is covered by a two-story porch with Ionic columns, with a single-story porch on the side with Doric columns. The main entrance is flanked by sidelight windows and topped by a multilight transom, and is set in a recessed paneled entry framed by pilasters. Its construction date is uncertain, but is placed between 1870 and 1910 based on architectural evidence. It is a well-preserved example of a post-Civil War "town house".

Lucius and Maria Clinton Lane House building in Iowa, United States

The Lucius and Maria Clinton Lane House, also known as the Carrie Lane Chapman Catt Family Home, is a historic building located west of Charles City, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The 1½-story, Late Victorian hollow brick structure was built in 1866 by Lucius Lane. The west wing may predate the rest of the house, being the log cabin that existed on the property when Lane bought it. When building this house, it is possible that Lane was influenced by A. J. Downing's work, The Architecture of Country Houses (1850), which describes hollow brick wall construction, and Woodward's Country Homes (1865), which features a nearly identical floor plan to this house.

Winston Evans House

Winston Evans House is a historic house in Shelbyville, Tennessee, U.S.. The two-story house was built in 1900 for Winston Evans and his wife Carrie Frierson, whose family owned the land and built the Frierson-Coble House nearby. It was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 27, 1989.

Frierson-Coble House

The Frierson-Coble House is a historic house in Shelbyville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1835 for Erwin J. Frierson, who was trained as a lawyer by James K. Polk, who went on to serve as the 11th President of the United States from 1845 to 1849. Frierson served as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives in 1845. In 1888, the house was purchased by Dr Neely Coble, a physician; it was later inherited by his son, Thomas Coble, also a physician. By the 1980s, it still belonged to the Coble family. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 12, 1982.
