The Martin Himler House in Beauty in Martin County, Kentucky was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. [1]

It was home of Martin Himler, who founded the Himler Coal Company.

It is a two-story wood-frame and weatherboarded house on a brick foundation. It sits upon a hill overlooking Beauty, which formerly was known as Himlerville. [2]

Martin Lindsey House United States historic place

The Martin Lindsey House, also known as the Roy and Barbara Hoppmyer House, is a historic house in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The one-story wood-frame structure was built in 1915 for Martin Lindsey on Mobile Bay, along what was, at that time, the Bay Shell Road. Built in a style known locally as a Bay house, it combines bungalow features with those indicative of much older French Colonial buildings found along the United States central Gulf Coast, such as French doors, instead of windows, opening onto the wrap-around galleries and a roof with flared eaves. Currently owned by the Timothy and Desiree Tait family, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 24, 1991.

Dr. G.S. Martin House United States historic place

The Dr. G.S. Martin House is a historic residence located in Maquoketa, Iowa, United States. It is a fine example of houses built in town for the professional class during Maquoketa's economic expansion in the late 19th century. It presents a more subdued and conservative appearance than other local Italianate homes. Built in 1882, the two-story brick house features a limestone foundation, a dressed stone water table, a low pitched hip roof, projecting low pitched gable wings, and simple brackets under the broad eaves. There are two porches on the house. The front porch is capped with iron cresting. Dr. Martin was one of the first physicians in town when he settled in here in 1857. He also worked as a druggist. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Himler Coal Company

The Himler Coal Company was a cooperative mining company established in 1918 by Hungarian-American immigrant Martin Himler. The company was responsible for the establishment of two company towns, Himler, West Virginia and Himlerville, Kentucky. Its finances exhausted, the company was wiped out by flooding in 1928.
