The Government of Maharashtra is the executive governing authority of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The government is led by the chief minister who selects all the other ministers. The state has had a Shiv Sena-led government since 2022. The chief ministers and their most senior ministers belong to the supreme decision-making committee, known as the Cabinet.

Kadam died of renal dysfunction at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on 9 March 2018.

Pardeshi was the Global Programme Coordinator for the Defeat-NCD Partnership within United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR).
