Nebria orestias is a species of ground beetle in the Nebriinae subfamily that can be found in Tibet, and in the Indian state of Sikkim, and Darjeeling district. [1]

The Titicaca orestias, Lake Titicaca orestias, or Lake Titicaca flat-headed fish, also known by its native name amanto, is a likely extinct freshwater killifish from Lake Titicaca in South America. It belongs in the pupfish genus Orestias, endemic to Altiplano lakes in the Andes. With a total length of up to 27 cm (11 in), it was the largest member in that genus. In the hope that an undiscovered population remains, it is listed as Data Deficient by the IUCN. Despite its common name, it is not the only Orestias from Lake Titicaca.

A.C. Orestias is a Greek volleyball club based in Orestias. It was founded in 1970 and it has important presence in the Greek volleyball championship. Orestias was tree times the finalist of the championship and one time the finalist of the Greek cup. Nevertheless the most important moment was the presence of the club in the final of the CEV Challenge Cup, in 1995.
