Nhava Sheva railway station is a railway station in Navi Mumbai's Raigad district, Maharashtra. Its code is NHVSV. It will serve JNPT and Nhava Sheva area of Navi Mumbai. The station has two platforms. [1] [2] [3]
The Mumbai Suburban Railway consists of exclusive inner suburban railway lines augmented by commuter rail on main lines serving outlying suburbs to serve the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Spread over 450 kilometres (280 mi), the suburban railway operates 2,342 train services and carries more than 7.5 million commuters daily.
Uran is a coastal town in Raigad District's Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra state in Konkan division. It lies to the east of Mumbai across the Dharamtar Creek. Uran is primarily a fishing and agriculture village, which has developed into the special economic zone of Uran. The primary languages spoken are Agri and Koli which is a dialect of Marathi-Konkani.

Jawaharlal Nehru Port, also known as JNPT and Nhava Sheva Port, is the second largest container port in India after Mundra Port. Operated by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust Authority (JNPTA), it is located on the eastern shores of Arabian Sea in Navi Mumbai, Raigad district, Maharashtra. This port can be accessed via Thane Creek, a nodal city of Navi Mumbai. It is the main port of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region after Mumbai Port, also of Maharashtra and Western India. Its common name derives from the names of Nhava and Sheva villages that are situated here. It is also the terminal of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
The Dronagiri is a node of Navi Mumbai in Raigad district. It is located at the Southern tip of Navi Mumbai metropolis and spread over 1,250 hectares of land. The zone is located to the east of Uran town in Navi Mumbai, and is bound by the Karanja River on the south-east. Residential areas are located to the west and north-west of the zone, while the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) area and township are located towards the north of the zone. The zone is adjacent to the JNPT port, and is located farthest from the central business districts of Belapur, Nerul and Vashi. Due to its proximity to the port, this zone is ideal for port-based industries.
Bhaucha Dhakka is a wharf along the Thane Creek, along the coast of Dockyard Road on the Eastern seafront of Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The wharf serves as the port for numerous fishermen who bring in their daily catch. Ferry services link up JNPT, Uran to the east, and Rewas and Mandwa to the south. The wharf is used by the students of the Training Ship Rahaman which is an institute for maritime studies on the island of Nhava.
Mumbai Port is a port which lies midway on the west coast of India, on the natural deep-water Mumbai harbour in Maharashtra. The harbour spread over 400 square kilometres (150 sq mi) is protected by the mainland of Konkan to its east and north and by the island city of Mumbai to its west. The harbour opens to the south to the Arabian Sea.
The Central Business District of Belapur is a large upmarket neighbourhood of Navi Mumbai. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is headquartered in Belapur. The Reserve Bank of India maintains a branch office at CBD Belapur. This area is one of the fastest developing regions in Navi Mumbai in terms of new residential and commercial construction projects. CBD Belapur is connected to other parts of Mumbai through railways, BEST & NMMT buses. It had a ferry service for traveling to Elephanta caves from Sector-11.
The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, officially named as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri–Nhava Sheva Atal Setu and colloquially known as Atal Setu, is a 21.8 km (13.5 mi) 6-lane grade separated expressway bridge, which connects Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, its satellite city. It is the longest sea bridge in India, and the world's 12th longest sea bridge. The bridge begins in Sewri, South Mumbai, crosses Thane Creek north of Elephanta Island, and terminates at Chirle near Nhava Sheva in Uran taluka, Navi Mumbai. The road is linked to the Mumbai–Pune Expressway in the east and to the Coastal Road in the west. The 6-lane highway is 27 meters in width, in addition to two emergency exit lanes, two edge strips, parallel crash barriers and noise barriers on both sides. The project costs a total of ₹17,843 crore (US$2.1 billion). The bridge has a capacity to handle 70,000 vehicles per day. Construction on the bridge began in April 2018, and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 12 January 2024.
The Sion Panvel Expressway is a 25 km Indian highway located entirely in the state of Maharashtra, that connects Sion in Mumbai with Panvel, via Navi Mumbai. It is one of the busiest and most important roads in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and connects Mumbai with the city of Pune. The National Highway 4 and Mumbai-Pune Expressway begin at the eastern end of the expressway, at Kalamboli junction, near Panvel. The highway is also used by vehicles traveling towards Mumbai from Konkan and Goa.

CBD Belapur is a railway station on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It serves the Central Business District of Navi Mumbai. Around 50,000 people travel towards CST and 15,000 travel towards Panvel every day. Navi Mumbai Metro starts from Belapur terminal metro station which is built adjacent to the railway station.
Ulwe is an upcoming posh and upmarket neighbourhood of Raigad District's Navi Mumbai situated beside Belapur and Nerul and home to Navi Mumbai International Airport officially named DB Patil International Airport. It is developed and maintained by CIDCO. It is soon going to come under the purview of the Panvel Municipal Corporation.
The Trans-Harbour line is a branch of the Mumbai Suburban Railway's Harbour line that connects Navi Mumbai and Thane and is operated by the Central Railway. Its termini include Thane, Vashi, and Panvel on the Thane–Vashi and Thane–Panvel routes. Thane is the common terminus for both the routes.
