Nova is a Spanish television channel operated by Atresmedia. The network runs 24 hours a day in the Spanish language. The service is aimed at women and the schedule reflects that. Normally during the day, lifestyle programmes like cookery are screened. During the evening films and some series are shown while around midnight, Poker is screened. The network is available on digital terrestrial television (TDT as it is known in Spain) as well as cable and satellite.

Atresmedia Corporación de Medios de Comunicación, S.A., previously Grupo Antena 3, is a Spanish media group, present in the television, radio and cinema industries. Significant shareholders include Planeta DeAgostini and RTL Group.

Poker is a family of card games that combines gambling, strategy, and skill. All poker variants involve betting as an intrinsic part of play, and determine the winner of each hand according to the combinations of players' cards, at least some of which remain hidden until the end of the hand. The ninth series, also known as Operación Triunfo 2017, aired on La 1 from 23 October 2017 to 5 February 2018, presented by Roberto Leal. It was the first season broadcast by RTVE, which aired the first three seasons, in thirteen years. Seasons 4–8 of Operación Triunfo aired on Telecinco, which discontinued the series in 2011 due to declining ratings. RTVE approved to revive the series with a budget of 10.2 million euros.

El accidente is a Spanish drama television series that premiered on Telecinco on 28 November 2017, and concluded on 20 February 2018. The series was produced by Telecinco and co-produced by Globomedia and was based on the Turkish drama Son also known as The End. The series consisted of a total of 13 episodes. It stars Inma Cuesta as Lucía, and Quim Gutiérrez as José as main characters.

El corazón nunca se equivoca is an upcoming Mexican television series produced by Juan Osorio for Televisa that will premiere on Las Estrellas on 23 June 2019. The series stars Emilio Osorio and Joaquín Bondoni. It is a spin-off of the telenovela Mi marido tiene familia.
