The Dubuque County Jail is a historic building at 36 East 8th Street in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1858, the jail is an example of the uncommon Egyptian Revival style. It is architecturally a highly original work of John F. Rague, who also designed the 1837 Old Capitol of Illinois and the 1840 Territorial Capitol of Iowa. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture in 1987. It served as a jail for more than a century, became a museum in 1975, and was converted into county offices in 2016.

Trester. It is three-story building with a central clock tower made from rusticated limestone cut from a local quarry. The current jail is a non-historic, modern facility located along State Highway 16 on the north end of town.

The district contains two contributing buildings; the Mount Kisco Town and Village Hall (1932) and the United States Post Office (1936). Both are in the Colonial Revival style. The Town and Village Hall is a 2-story, cruciform plan brick building on a limestone foundation and topped by a slate-covered hipped and gable roof. It features an octagonal clock tower. The Village Library formerly occupied the second floor until a separate, adjacent building was constructed in the 1960s. The first floor formerly housed the police station and a small jail. The Post Office is a 1 1⁄2-story brick building set on a limestone foundation and topped by a slate shingle clad gable roof. It consists of a central section flanked by 1-story wings, with a large 2-story rear wing. The interior features murals depicting the history of Mount Kisco executed by artist Thomas Donnelly in 1936.

They are brick buildings in the Italianate-style. The jail is attached to the rear of the Sheriff's Office, also known as the Sheriff's House. They are connected to the Old Indiana County Courthouse by a second floor pedestrian bridge.
The Old Clarke County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse complex located at Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. The complex includes the Old Clarke County Courthouse, built in 1837; the original county clerk's building, dating from the 1880s; and a two-story building built about 1900 and containing the Sheriff's office and county jail. The former courthouse is a two-story, red brick temple-form structure, fronted by a full-height Tuscan order portico in the Roman Revival style. The building served as the county's courthouse until 1977, when a new courthouse was erected. It was subsequently designated the General District Courts Building.

Maynard Town Hall and Jail is a historic building located in Maynard, Iowa, United States. Before this building was constructed the town had no building to enact its business. They used the mayor's house or place of business for his office and council meetings. After it was completed, this building served as a jail into the late 1930s and as the city hall until 1952, when a new community building was completed. For most of the time it served as a jail it was outfitted with bars and had bunks. It was a short-term lock-up for those who committed minor infractions. It was used for a public library beginning in the 1940s. After its use as a city hall, it was bought by a local merchant for use in his grocery store in 1957. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
The State Street Bridge is a historic structure located in Mason City, Iowa, United States. The span carries East State Street over Willow Creek for 62 feet (19 m). In the mid- to late-19th century, State Street was the only road into town from the east. There was a bridge at this crossing from at least 1875, but it is unknown what kind of bridges or how many served the crossing. Completed in 1903, this bridge features a barrel arch with filled spandrels. Although the original guardrails have been replaced, it is the oldest roadway arch bridge in Cerro Gordo County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
The Stewart Avenue Bridge is a historic structure located in Mason City, in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Iowa. The span carries North Carolina Avenue over the Winnebago River for 116 feet (35 m). This span replaced bowstring arch-truss bridge at this residential location. The Iowa State Highway Commission had the plans completed by November 1913, although the city did not petition the county to have it built until February 1914. N.M. Stark and Company of Des Moines had the low bid at $12,775, which included the removal of the old bridge. Charles Smith provided the fill for the bridge, which opened in August 1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
