The William Cullen Bryant Homestead is the boyhood home and later summer residence of William Cullen Bryant (1794–1878), one of America's foremost poets and newspaper editors. The 155-acre (63 ha) estate is located at 205 Bryant Road in Cummington, Massachusetts, overlooks the Westfield River Valley and is currently operated by the non-profit Trustees of Reservations. It is open to the public on weekends in summer and early fall for tours with an admission fee.

The Winthrop Mill is a historic mill building on Mill Street in New London, Connecticut. It is a grist mill located astride Briggs Brook between bridges carrying the eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 95. The mill was established in 1650, and the complex retains elements that are believed to be original to its construction. It is now owned by the city and the grounds are open daily; the mill itself is open for tours by special appointment. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 30, 1982.

The Great Valley Mill, also known as the Old Grist Mill in the Great Valley, is an historic grist mill which is located in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
The Ashland Gristmill and Dam are a historic former industrial facility in the heart of Ashland, New Hampshire. Built in 1903 on the site of an older mill, the gristmill demonstrates the continuing viability of wood framing for mill buildings in an era when it had become uncommon. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It has been converted to professional offices.
The Eli Morse Sawmill Foundations are the surviving remnant of the first industrial site in Dublin, New Hampshire. The site is located astride a stream, near an old logging road, in a wooded area south of Old Marlborough Road, not far from the Eli Morse Farm. It consists of four foundation walls made of dry laid granite boulders. The northern wall measures about 10 feet (3.0 m), and the others measure about 23 feet (7.0 m). To the west of the main mill's foundations are smaller foundations of extensions or outbuildings.
The Milford Cotton and Woolen Manufacturing Company is a historic mill complex at 2 Bridge Street in the center of Milford, New Hampshire. Developed between 1813 and World War I, it is one of the few surviving mill complexes in Milford, whose name is derived in part from "mill". The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The complex has been converted into residential use.

The Royalton Mill Complex is a three-building residential site in what is now a rural setting of Royalton, Vermont. The two houses and barn are historically associated with a mill, whose breached dams and remnant foundations lie just to the north. One of the houses, built about 1780, is believed to be Royalton's oldest surviving building. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
