Pleasanton is a city in Decatur County, Iowa, United States. The population was 32 at the time of the 2020 census. [3]
Pleasanton was founded in 1854. [4] It was originally called Pleasant Plain, but the name was changed to avoid confusion with another community of that same name in the state. [5] The present name is commendatory. [6]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.35 square miles (0.91 km2), all land. [7]
