SchlagerTV is a Schlager music television channel aimed at the European and North-American markets which launched in January, 2009. The programming consists mainly of music videos and music programs in the German language. The main music genre is the popular Schlager music genre from Germany and Austria. The channel is founded by Jur Bron and Gerard Ardesch and officially owned by their company TV Digitaal BV. In December 2011, the Brava TV Group announced that Strengholt BV became co-owner of SchlagerTV, though sister channel TV Oranje remains solely owned by TV Digitaal BV. [1] [2] Since 12 May 2016 it is part of MuziekKiosk. [3]

Jan Smit (singer) Musical artist

Jan Smit is a Dutch singer, television host, and actor. Smit mostly sings songs in the Dutch language, in a genre known as Volendam music. In addition to his solo career, in 2015 Smit joined the schlager trio KLUBBB3, and in 2017 The Toppers. As a TV presenter, he has worked on programs like the Beste Zangers and Sterren Muziekfeest op het Plein Since 1999, Smit has been serving as an ambassador for the SOS Children's Villages, and is a member of the board for the football club FC Volendam.

The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting in the Netherlands and through satellite in Belgium, and launched on 14 July 2003. In addition to the general Nickelodeon programmes, original productions such as ZOOP, Het Huis Anubis, and SuperNick are also broadcast. The Dutch Kids' Choice Awards were presented in three years, featuring nominees that are relevant to Dutch audiences. In 2010, the US Kids' Choice Awards aired, which included categories for the Netherlands and Belgium inserted into the broadcast.

The Netherlands now has three major forms of broadcast digital television. Terrestrial (DVB-T), Cable (DVB-C), and Satellite (DVB-S). In addition IPTV services are available. At the end of the first quarter of 2013 almost 84% of the households in the Netherlands had some form of digital television.

MTV (Dutch TV channel) Dutch television channel

MTV Nederland and België is a Dutch speaking free-to-air television channel broadcasting in the Netherlands. It launched as MTV NL on 12 September 2000. Before the start of country-specific channels, the Pan-European version of MTV aired in the Netherlands.

Disney Channel (Dutch TV channel) Dutch edition of the Disney Channel

Disney Channel is the Dutch edition based on the American channel of the same name, owned by the Walt Disney Company. All content is dubbed in Dutch animated series animation series subtitled in Dutch The channel features a mix of original sitcoms, sometimes teen drama series, movies animation movies animated films and original movies. except for the programs that are produced in the Netherlands or Flanders. English audio is also available on the operators Ziggo, Canal Digitaal, TV Vlaanderen, Caiway, Proximus and Telenet. There are two different versions with local advertisements.

UPC Netherlands

UPC Nederland was the second largest cable operator in the Netherlands, providing cable television, broadband Internet, and telephone service to both residential and commercial customers.

Cartoon Network (Dutch TV channel)

Cartoon Network is a Dutch television channel which primarily airs animated programming in the Netherlands and Belgium. This version is available in the Dutch and English languages. Some providers offer the Dutch language only.

Stingray Brava

Stingray Brava was a cultural television channel originated in the Netherlands, owned by the Stingray Group in Canada. The programming consisted of opera, ballet, and concertos. Productions were recorded in opera houses such as the Royal Opera House, the Teatro Real, and La Scala. The productions consisted of stage performances such as La bohème, Otello, Aida, Swan Lake, Tosca, Zoroastre and Così fan tutte.

TV Oranje

TV Oranje is a Dutch music television channel aimed at the Dutch market which launched on 5 October 2005. The programming consists mainly of music videos and music programs in the Dutch language. The main music genres are Nederpop and Levenslied. The channel was founded by Jur Bron and Gerard Ardesch and officially owned by their company TV Digitaal BV. Since 12 May 2016 it is part of MuziekKiosk.

Xite Interactive music video platform

XITE is an interactive music video platform. Founded in the Netherlands with linear networks, interactive TV, and on-demand streaming services, XITE is now live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. In the United States, it is available on the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku streaming players as well as Comcast Xfinity and some Samsung TVs.

Film1 Drama

Film1 Drama is a Dutch premium television channel owned by SPI International. Every night the programming is dedicated to a theme, such as a director or a genre. Film1 launched together with its sister service Sport1 on 1 February 2006 and replaced the Canal+ Netherlands television channels. Film1 offers multiple channels with Dutch and international film and television series productions. Initially Film1 Drama started as Film1 Series on 17 January 2012 when it replaced the 1 hour timeshift channel Film1 Premiere +1, focusing on television series. It changed into Film1 Spotlight on 6 September 2013. On 1 September 2016 Film1 Spotlight got renamed by Film1 Drama.

Stingray Djazz Dutch cultural television channel

Stingray DJAZZ is a Dutch cultural music channel aimed at the European market which launched as DJAZZ.TV on 22 June 2012. The programming consists of jazz, soul, gospel, blues and world music, like reggae, tango and Brazilian music. The productions consist of jazz festivals, jazz concerts and documentaries. The channel was founded by Rob Overman and Robert Rutten. Since 31 July 2015 the channel is owned and operated by the Canadian company Stingray Group. In October 2016 it changed its name into Stingray DJAZZ.

MTV Music 24 Pan-European music television channel

MTV Music 24 was a Pan-European music television channel operated by ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. The channel was available in multiple countries across Europe. The programming consists of non-stop music videos 24-hours a day. The channel first launched in the Netherlands and Flanders in 2011. Since then the channel has rolled out across many parts of Europe including Germany and it is available in South Africa. The channel was registered with licensing authorities in the Czech Republic. In March 2020, the channel launched in Poland replacing the version of MTV Music Polska.

Ziggo Holding B.V. is the largest cable operator in the Netherlands, providing digital cable television, Internet, and telephone service to both residential and commercial customers.

Stingray Classica is a television channel devoted to classical music, opera, ballet and jazz, currently owned by Stingray Group in Canada.

Fox Life is an international pay television network, launched by the Fox Networks Group in 2004. The network has been discontinued in several markets over time, except for the Middle East, India, and Greece.
