Sports in Jordan are important to the country's culture.
Football is the most popular sport in Jordan. The national football team reached 37th place in September 2004 according to the FIFA World Rankings, and finished as runners-up at the AFC Asian Cup in 2023. The Jordan League attracts reasonable crowds. Under the Jordan League is the Second Division Jordan League. However the bottom two teams in the first division get relegated at the end of the season, whilst the top two teams in the second division are promoted.[ citation needed ]
Rugby is on the rise in Jordan. There are four clubs in Jordan: Amman Citadel Rugby Club,Nomads Rugby Club, Aqaba Sharks and Amman Saracens

Jordan's national basketball team is now being sponsored by Zain and participating in various Arab and Middle East basketball competitions. Local teams include: Al-Orthodoxi Club, Al-Riyadi, Zain, Al-Hussein and Al-Jazeera.[ citation needed ]
Skateboarding is becoming popular in Jordan after the construction of 7Hills Skatepark in Amman.[ citation needed ]
Although cycling is not a very famous sport in Jordan, the sport is developing.[ citation needed ] The governing body of cycling in Jordan is the Jordanian Cycling Federation (JCF).[ citation needed ]
Sport in the United Kingdom plays an important role in British culture and the United Kingdom has played a significant role in the organisation and spread of sporting culture globally. In the infancy of many organised sports, the Home Nations were heavily involved in setting out the formal rules of many sports and formed among the earliest separate governing bodies, national teams and domestic league competitions. After 1922, some sports formed separate bodies for Northern Ireland, though many continued to be organised on an all-Ireland basis. For this reason, in many though not all sports, most domestic and international sport is carried on a Home Nations basis, and England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland are recognised as national entities.
Al-Wehdat Sports Club is a Jordanian sports club founded in 1956. The club is based in and represents the Amman New Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp also known as Al-Wehdat. Al-Wehdat's home games are played at King Abdullah II Stadium.

Al-Faisaly Sports Club is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman. Founded in 1932, the club competes in Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. Nicknamed "the Blue Eagles", they were founded as Al-Ashbal Club in 1932.
Shabab Al-Ordon Club is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman, that competes in the Jordanian Pro League. The club was established in 2002, but originated from its club Al-Qadisiyah.
Club Atlético Unión is an Argentine sports club from Sunchales, Santa Fe Province. Its football team currently plays in the Torneo Argentino A, which is the regionalised third division of the Argentine football league system.

Although participating in several friendly tournaments, the team played its first official international match against the Maldives on April 22, 2007 and entered the FIFA Women's World Rankings in June 2007 at 111th out of 142.
Armenians in Jordan are ethnic Armenians living in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. There are an estimated 3,000 Armenians living in the country today with an estimated 2,500 of them being members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and predominantly speak Western Armenian dialect. Armenians make up the biggest majority of non-Arab Christians in the country.
Because of Lebanon's unique geography, both summer and winter sports thrive in the country. In fact, during autumn and spring it is sometimes possible to engage in both activities on the same day; for example, skiing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon.

Other traditionally-popular sports include basketball, volleyball and handball. Zain Basketball Club formerly known as Fastlink Basketball Club was a Jordanian basketball club based in Amman, Jordan. They compete in the Jordanian Premier Basketball League and have won six consecutive Jordanian championships in the period 2003 to 2008-09 season. The team has been disbanded in 2010.

The club was founded in 1949. The football teem is currently playing in the Syrian League 3rd Division. They play their home games at the 7 April Stadium.
The Jordan Rugby Committee is a non-profit organisation with the sole responsibility of developing the sport of rugby in Jordan. It is funded by the Jordan Olympic Committee and is an associate member of World Rugby. Jordan Rugby became an associate member of Asia Rugby in 2008 and then a full member in 2016.
