2010 census

As of the census [7] of 2010, there were 144 people, 56 households, and 45 families living in the city. The population density was 240.0 inhabitants per square mile (92.7/km2). There were 64 housing units at an average density of 106.7 per square mile (41.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White.

There were 56 households, of which 26.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.2% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 1.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 19.6% were non-families. 16.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.73.

The median age in the city was 44.8 years. 19.4% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 25.1% were from 25 to 44; 29.9% were from 45 to 64; and 19.4% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 54.2% male and 45.8% female.

2000 census

As of the census [8] of 2000, there were 182 people, 60 households, and 51 families living in the city. The population density was 319.2 inhabitants per square mile (123.2/km2). There were 62 housing units at an average density of 108.7 per square mile (42.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. There were 60 households, out of which 41.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, 5.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.0% were non-families. 13.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.03 and the average family size was 3.25.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 29.7% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $50,750, and the median income for a family was $51,667. Males had a median income of $26,429 versus $17,813 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,814. None of the population or families were below the poverty line.

Public services

Springbrook is a small town and therefore does not have much in the way of city services.

Police protection is provided by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Springbrook has a volunteer fire department which provides fire protection and EMS services. The department has 33 firefighters, and 15 non-firefighter volunteers. [9] Equipment includes one engine, one tanker, one brush truck, one ambulance and one UTV. Bellevue ambulance service provides transporting ambulance services to Springbrook and the surrounding area.

Education

Bellevue Community School District operates local area schools. [10]
