The Underground is a club/music venue in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. It was also part of the NME group, Club NME. It is well known for hosting several up and coming indie/rock/metal acts, and many local bands in the Staffordshire area.
The Underground is host to many gigs, featuring bands from the local area and also many big name bands and DJs. Probably the most well-remembered gig at the Underground would be the first of many times Pete Doherty's band, Babyshambles performed. The gig ended in an impromptu car top sing-along led by Doherty and former Libertines bandmate Carl Barat, the incident referred to as The Babyshambles riot was covered heavily in the music press, and gave the club immediate cult status. The Underground hosted a sold out acoustic set by Pete Doherty on 11 February 2009, then again on the 30 May that year.

The Libertines are an English rock band, formed in London in 1997 by frontmen Carl Barât (vocals/guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/guitar). The band, centred on the songwriting partnership of Barât and Doherty, has also included John Hassall (bass) and Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career. The band was part of the garage rock revival and spearheaded the movement in the UK.

Patrick George Walden is best known as the former guitarist for Babyshambles. Prior to joining Babyshambles, Walden belonged to a variety of London groups, among which were Fluid, the Six Cold Thousand, and The White Sport. He played guitar for The White Sport alongside another future Babyshambles member, drummer Adam Ficek. Walden also worked as a live guitarist and as a session musician, playing bass and guitar for numerous recording artists. Among those acts were Whitey, James Blunt, 500 and Crave, Ed Laliq, and, very briefly, The Honeymoon.
Drew McConnell is the bass guitarist and backing vocalist with Babyshambles, the band formed and fronted by frontman of the Libertines, Pete Doherty, and bass guitarist for Liam Gallagher's 2017 tour. He lived in Tenerife, Spain, for much of his childhoodand he speaks Spanish fluently. Formerly in the band Elviss, McConnell participates in a number of side-projects, such as the Phoenix Drive and playing double bass and piano with Irish singer/songwriter Fionn Regan as well as writing and recording solo material.

The Blinding EP is an EP by English indie rock band Babyshambles. It was the band's first release since signing with major record label Parlophone. The EP was released on 4 December 2006 in the United Kingdom to positive critical reviews by that label's offshoot Regal Records and on 5 December in the United States by Capitol Records. The EP entered the official UK Albums Chart at #62 on 11 December 2006, while the title song entered the download chart at #77. A week later, an entry on band's official MySpace blog stated that had a fifth track not been added to make the EP ineligible in the UK Singles Chart, "The Blinding" would have entered that chart at #4. As with their debut album, Pete Doherty designed the artwork for the EP.
The Bandwagon was a club night held on the first Saturday of every month at the Zanzibar club on Seel Street, Liverpool from 2001 to 2005. The Bandwagon night was run by John Robinson and Gary Murphy, members of the now defunct Liverpool band The Bandits.
Up the Shambles – Live in Manchester is a live DVD of the band Babyshambles. The DVD was released without the bands prior knowledge according to bassist Drew McConnell. The DVD was released around the time of the band's second album Shotters Nation, but not only featured a much older version of the band, it was recorded prior to the release of the first album Down in Albion. The set list features not only songs on the band's debut but B-sides, unreleased songs and songs by Pete Doherty's former band The Libertines.
Grace/Wastelands is the debut solo album from Babyshambles frontman/The Libertines co-frontman Peter Doherty. It was released in Australia on 13 March 2009, in the UK on 16 March, and in the US on 24 March, with the single "Last of the English Roses" preceding it by one week. The album features contributions from Blur guitarist Graham Coxon Dot Allison, Peter Wolfe, and members of Babyshambles. Most of the songs have been played live or feature in demo form on leaked sessions.
The Forum is an independent music venue in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, with a standing capacity of 250. The venue opened in 1993, the building having previously been a public toilet.
Blackcube was an English rock band that had success in the summer of 2003 in London after signing a record deal with Genepool/Cargo. Blackcube also recorded music for EMI Publishing in EMI Studios London. Chrysalis Publishing/Music, a major label at the time, was also said to be seeking the band's signature, led by Chrysalis' Managing Director Alison McDonald. Only in rare instances do heads of recording labels chase a new band for a deal, but Chrysalis Publishing/Music was eager to market this band as the next Guns N' Roses. Blackcube rejected the Chrysalis offer in favor of Genepool/Cargo's, amidst even more potential offers from labels such as EMI, Warner, and Polydor.
Deadcuts are an English post punk group formed in 2012 by former Senseless Things front man, Mark Keds (vocals/guitar) and Jerome Alexandre . Keds is also known for his previous work with The Wildhearts and Jolt, as well as co-writing The Libertines "Can't Stand Me Now".
