Twining Laboratories, at 2527 Fresno St. in Fresno, California, was built in 1930. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. [1]

It was designed in Mediterranean Revival style by architect Charles E. Butner and built by contractors Fisher & McNulty to serve as a chemical testing lab. [2]

It was modified by additions in 1935, 1942, and 1943. [2]

Highlands Air Force Station United States historic place

Highlands Air Force Station was a military installation in Middletown Township near the borough of Highlands, New Jersey. The station provided ground-controlled interception radar coverage as part of the Lashup Radar Network and the Semi-Automatic Ground Environment network, as well as providing radar coverage for the Highlands Army Air Defense Site. The site's 240 acres (97 ha) is now the Rocky Point section in Hartshorne Woods Park of the Monmouth County Parks System.

Tower Theatre (Fresno, California)

The Tower Theatre for the Performing Arts is a historic Streamline Moderne mixed-use theater in Fresno, California. Built in 1939, it opened to the public on December 15, 1939, under the management of Fox West Coast Theater Corporation. The building was designed by S. Charles Lee, with its tower inspired by the "Star Pylon" at the 1939 New York World's Fair. The theater underwent a renovation and reopened as a performing arts center in 1990, after being closed as a repertory cinema in 1989 due to financial troubles.

The Old Fresno Water Tower is a historic water tower in Fresno, California. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed by George Washington Maher, the tower was completed in late 1894. It ceased operation in 1963 and has served as a visitors' center since 2001.

Dinkey Creek Bridge

The Dinkey Creek Bridge, also known as Fresno County Bridge No. 42C-04, is a single-span, timber bowstring arch truss bridge that crosses Dinkey Creek in Fresno County, California, within Sierra National Forest. Built in 1938, it closed to automobile traffic in 1965 and was renovated in 1988 to replace rotting timbers. Designed by T.K. May, it was built by the U.S. Forest Service with Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) labor. The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Harker Hall United States historic place

Harker Hall, also known as the Chemical Laboratory, is a historic building on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in Urbana, Illinois. Built in 1877, the building originally served as the university's chemical laboratory. Architect Nathan Clifford Ricker designed the Second Empire building, which originally featured a mansard roof. In 1896, a lightning strike set the roof on fire, and architect James White replaced it with a hip roof. The building was named Harker Hall in honor of Oliver A. Harker, who served as dean of the university's law school from 1903 to 1916. Until it stopped hosting classes, the hall was the oldest classroom building at the university.

Dr. Salsbury's Laboratories, Main Office and Production Laboratory Building, also known as the Floyd County Museum, is a historic building located in Charles City, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The two-story brick Modern Movement structure is built over a raised basement. It was designed by Waterloo architect Mortimer Cleveland. The facility was built in three parts. Completed in 1935, the part of the building that faces Gilbert Street housed administration and company related operations. The wing off the back was completed two years later, and housed research laboratories and related uses, and offices. To the west of the original block is a single-story wing built after the facility became a museum in the 1990s.

Guttenberg National Fish Hatchery and Aquarium Historic District United States historic place

The Guttenberg National Fish Hatchery and Aquarium Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Guttenberg, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. At the time of its nomination the district consisted of four resources, all of which are contributing buildings. This district also contributes to the Front Street Historic District. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had a long history of involvement with wildlife conservation in Iowa, especially fisheries. They established fish rescue program along the Mississippi River in 1903 and a research station at Fairport in 1910. The development of the lock and dam system in the 1930s brought the fish rescue operations to an end because they eliminated of the backwaters that trapped them. The fish hatchery was developed at that time.

The Belvidere Historic District is in Belvidere, the county seat of Warren County, New Jersey, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 3, 1980 for its significance in architecture, commerce, community planning, industry, politics and government during the 19th century. The district is bounded by Market and Race streets; Greenwich and Mansfield avenues; and the Pequest River. It includes 228 contributing buildings. Contributing properties include the Warren County Courthouse and the Twin Mills.

Emhoff House United States historic place

The Emhoff House is a historic house in Stevensville, Montana. It was built in 1902 for John C. Emhoff, the owner of the Stevensville Stage and Transport Company. Emhoff lived here with his wife and their twin daughters. He was a Freemason, and he died in 1930. One of his daughters, Elizabeth, inherited the house and lived here with her husband, Lawrence Saltz. The house was subsequently purchased by the Golder family. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 19, 1991.

Glass and Butner was an architectural partnership of Edward Francis Glass and Charles Edgar Butner based in Fresno, California. It operated from 1914 to around 1922. The two developed a proposal for a design competition for the Veterans' Memorial Building. Several of their works are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
